81  Stenciled Bird Dresser in Stenciling: Completed Projects by modpodge on: July 19, 2005 03:45:25 PM
I posted this in housewares as well, but I stencilled it, so I figured it belonged here too! I repainted this entire dresser and used a file folder stencil and silverpaint pen to draw on the birds. Don't mind the scratch, this is over a year old and gets a LOT of use!

82  Revamped Stenciled Bird Dresser in Crafty Housewares: Completed Projects: General by modpodge on: July 19, 2005 03:39:00 PM
I found this dresser unused and unwanted in our apartment building's storage. It was a boring wood dresser- I painted it and used a stencil (cut out of a file folder, nothing fancy) for the birds. It got a little scratched on the top (its over a year old) so I'm thinking of doing another coat of paint. All in all, it didn't take me too long and it looks MUCH better than before!

83  BIG Nautical Star Mirror in Crafty Housewares: Completed Projects: General by modpodge on: July 19, 2005 03:33:55 PM
I picked up this mirror in the alley a while ago- it is decoupaged with pages from an old "how-to" tarot card book- I used ModPodge, of course. The stars were done with paint pens and the border was painted with acrylics. There are also some micah (sp?) flakes bordering the top and inside of the mirror. Unfortunately, the mirror weighs in at around 25 pounds, so I am having a hell of time figuring out how and where to hang it!

84  Bird & Sewing Machine Stencils in Stenciling: Completed Projects by modpodge on: July 19, 2005 03:17:55 PM
I made these quite a while ago using acryclic paints. I think they have held up pretty well in the wash, so I'm happy about that! The sewing machine stencil started off without a border, but after an unfortunately LARGE smudge of paint, I had to improvise....

85  Sailor Jerry Stencil/Hand-Painted/Iron-On Tank! in Stenciling: Completed Projects by modpodge on: July 19, 2005 02:55:39 PM
I loved this Sailor Jerry design, and I decided to do an inkjet transfer. I didn't really like how it turned out, so I used the transfer as a guide and handpainted it with acrylics. I'm very curious to see what the wash does to it!

I recently became obsessed with downloading new fonts for my computer, and i realized that dingbat fonts are an excellent source of new stencil ideas. Here is a sewing maching stencil i made, which i put on a cheap canvas tote from the craft store.

88  Easiest Christmas Stockings EVER! in Winter Holidays by modpodge on: December 15, 2004 08:01:52 AM
Here's a link to a couple stockings I made. I bought cheap pre made stockings and painted on names and a little picture with acrylic paint. I am planning on making more as gifts, since they were so quick and easy.
