Here's a sneaky peek of the apron liebschien made me! I'm going to try again for a better pic, and some action shots! The apron is truly beautiful and well made! Every edge is bound and the colors are perfect!

12  Re: Tattoos at Wedding? in Weddings and Bridal Showers by TessTessi on: April 11, 2007 06:49:34 PM
I have a tatoo on my back, and my wedding dress was very low cut in the back and showed it.  Sorry no picture of my tat, or the back of the dress, but I wore this little capelet for the ceremony and reception. I like the caplet because I didn't have to hold anything, and it kept me a liiiitle bit warm, plus it showed off my tattoo but it wasn't the first thing you reacted to when I walked down the isle Smiley  I can't share the pattern, my friend designed it, so I have no idea what she did!

I think whether it's tasteless is a matter of personal opinion, but I don't see a problem with it at all, and everyone is usually so gushy about how pretty your dress is that they won't be grumbling about your tattoos...and if they are than boo on them!

PS Everything but my earrings were handmade, both our dress, the caplet, the flowers, the headpiece Smiley (bragging over)

13  My first ever quilt, now with more ballerina kitten power! in Quilting: Completed Projects by TessTessi on: April 05, 2007 02:24:13 PM
Hello! I just finished my very first quilt! It's from a Pepper Cory pattern, but I don't really know who she is. I got the pattern during my area's quilt shop hop, you know, one block and each shop.  It was super easy, it was full of tricks and techniques to make it look fancy, but it was secretly extremely easy! All the fabric is stash fabric, yay for stash busting!

The full quilt:

The corner:

The center:

Then ballernia kitten!

Thanks for looking! It's kinda puckery, I washed since it's getting donated and didn't want any suprises!

Here's the front:

And here's a side view:

It's zooming along to laurenhunt, so hopefully it arrives SOON!

15  Re: A Very Dishalicious Gallery for knit dishcloths! :-) in The Swap Gallery by TessTessi on: March 25, 2007 06:46:52 AM
I have received, and already used one of my washcloths from droopymccool!  It finally dried, so here's the pics! My cats don't approve of the washcloths, but I definately approve!  Thank you so much droopymccool, your package really cheered me up on a crappy day!

16  Re: Aprons, aprons, aprons-Very Image Heavy! in Clothing: Completed Projects: General by TessTessi on: March 02, 2007 04:34:17 PM

I konw this isn't the most beautiful drawing, but it shows the basic schematic.  The skirt portion is gathered and attached the the upper side, then sewn to the center panel.  The straps are stitched over where the skirt portion joins the upper side.  Does that make more sense?

17  Aprons, aprons, aprons-Very Image Heavy! in Clothing: Completed Projects: General by TessTessi on: March 02, 2007 09:10:54 AM
I went a little crazy a few weeks ago and made 9 aprons all in a row! That was the easy part, the hard part was figuring out (and getting the motivation) to photograph them! Let me know what you think! They tie at the neck, and the back, and have patch pockets.

I just received from NessaGurl today, and oh boy is it a cutie!  I took some pics of myself, I'm still learning the self timer deal.  Ironically enough, what I was wearing today matched really well! I added the cardigan as the dress is a little low cut, but I was already waring the boots Wink  I'll take a full on happy-homemaker photo shot when hubby gets home, and post it to ye old blog as suggested by alwaysinmyroom!

Sorry for the misspell, sometimes my fingers get a head of me!

Okay, here come the action shots:

Tending and comforting the children:

Mixing the pretend cookies (although today is cookie baking day, so I will be doing this after running to the store):

Removing the nasty wallpaper, I am SO excited and impatient for the kitchen to be painted yellow!:

Pretending to iron my first quilt top.  Mostly I just wanted to show off the quilt top Smiley:

Thanks one more time for the amazing apron, it's made my day!

Because I'm not shy, here's some embarassing pics of me "modeling" the apron than RM made me....after my husband taped me up while we were making a tape mannequin!
