1  Old book --> Evening Clutch Bag in Purses, Bags, Wallets: Completed Projects: Reconstructed by lucy_uk on: July 01, 2004 06:14:12 AM
Hi guys, now I know there are about a 101 book clutches on the site but I want to show mine off too!  Wink

I have gone for a bit of a different approach and covered the whole book! For two reasons, here in England I seem to struggle to get the pretty Readers Digest books that I see so much of on here and I needed a classy bag to go to a "Millionaires Casino Evening". Plus cos it as such an old tatty book I wasn't worried about messing it up!

Anyway heres it is!

I added the decoration as a brooch (so I can use it elsewhere if I want) and to match my earrings (i cheated and bought those)! Hope you like! It took me quite a while but the posts on here certainly helped me to figure it out - Cheers guys!  Kiss

Hi guys, this is my first post with a picture so fingers crossed.

This is the first thread that I read when I found this super duper site and it really inspired me - cheers Jordy.

here is my first bag:

I made an a line skirt in the fabric a couple of days before so now I have matching bag and skirt  Grin ! I used press studs to close the bag, as I didn't have any velcro - seems to work.

Now I am going to experiment with adding a zip closure and added details like an inside pocket and make the bag a bit bigger! Its all very exciting  Wink
