61  Glinda the good witch in Costumes: Completed Projects by alohamom2three on: November 15, 2006 02:44:52 PM
This was for a recent production of Wizard of Oz...
I found this dress at goodwill for $30 (never worn..original tags with price of $350...half price day so even though it said $60 on the goodwill tag, I got it for a steal!)
Then I used a crinolin and pink tulle to fill in the skirt and did layers of tulle for the sleeves...pretty good!

I made these for a recent production of The Wizard of Oz.  $6.78 White Stag Shoes from Walmart...perfect heel shape and height!  $3 red glitter and jewel glue...looked like the real thing!

****Here are the things I used:  glue, varnish and glitter.  I bought the glue and glitter at Walmart and the liquitex varnish at ben franklin's.

Aloha!  Thought you all might like to see a crocheted lei.  This is two colors of eyelash yarn and two colors of rattail cord crocheted onto gross grain ribbon.  It was for a friend's birthday.

65  First memory wire attempts in Beads: Completed Projects by alohamom2three on: June 14, 2006 12:27:22 PM
I had to make presents for some students...they are all a bit goth so I decided to do all black.  Thesee are multi strand memory wire with jet beads.

This first one is classic but I decided it looked too much like what you can buy in stores.

This one is five strand memory wire with tubing covering the bare wire (the tubing was featured in someone else's memory wire posting on this board.  It's cording for large hole beads that I got at walmart).  I really like this one and I want to make one for myself!

Here's the back of it.

I can't believe I don't have a better picture of the next one which criss crossed in x shapes around.

For a first try with memory wire I think they came out ok...now I'm coming up with all kinds of possibilities!  Hope you all like them!  I haven't posted in a really long time!

67  Christmas presents...chain maile jewelry in Trinkets and Jewelry: Completed Projects: General by alohamom2three on: December 18, 2005 01:48:17 PM
Well, I got inspired by some of hawkwolfs stuff and ordered what seemed like a billion rings.  After a lot of playing and a really sore neck, I finished my christmas presents what do you think?

This one I'm keeping...

I made two simple two on two chains...

I tried the ever popular byzantine in some cool colors!

This is pretty much freeform..a one on one chain and a little playing at the bottom then a simple glass bead at the bottom

And finally..a bracelet made of O-rings...interesting Roll Eyes

Hope you like them...thanks for looking! Grin

69  seed bead rope necklaces again :) (fixed the pics...come see) in Beads: Completed Projects by alohamom2three on: October 12, 2005 08:12:03 PM
Here we go again.  trying another way of getting the pics up...hope you can all see them now!

OK, I'm stuck on the seed bead necklace kick....maybe I'll get tired of it soon...haha
I finally made one for myself...green spiral rope with two different sizes.

And I made on for my older sister.  The silver colored seed beads look like hematite in person and I paired them with a garnet colored seed bead.  It's the same pattern as the green one above.  I love these patterns...just by changing the color and size they come out completely different.

By the way, this pattern came from Bead and Button magazine.
