1  HOME SWEET HOME / Interior Decorating: Discussion and Questions / Matching Help! on: April 06, 2007 08:11:20 PM
Okay.  So, I painted my walls beige thinking, "oh, beige will match with everything no matter how much i want to change my room!"  but now, i'm running into the issue of wanting a beige couch in my room, or a beige cushion, or a beige this or that and i don't think it will look right if the beiges don't match.  should i just go with repainting my room again?  Or, i could just push the idea out of my head of having anything else beige.  I really don't want to repaint, seeing as i just painted it recently. Please, help me. :]
2  CLOTHING / Clothing: Discussion and Questions / Dress/Gown on: February 18, 2007 10:54:08 PM
so, a week or so ago i got bored and made this dress on my dress form.  I can't decide if it's worth it to make the dress.  I have no where to wear it so it may be a waste of time.  I made it out of an extra panel of my curtains and a scarf from goodwill.  I really don't want to waste the scarf as it's an incredible scarf and very pretty.  Does anybody have any other idea's for the scarf or should i just make the gown type dress?

thanks!
3  CLOTHING / Clothing: Discussion and Questions / Making the upper legs of my jeans smaller?. on: October 07, 2006 02:39:00 PM
i have this pair of jeans that were my moms and they now sorta fit me.  but she used them as her painting jeans so they have some paint splatterson them and a couple rips and holes in them and i really like them.  but,  seeing as she probably wore her jeans a different way than i do. haha.(i wear them down low on my hips, she wore them up high)  so, i can roll the waistband down on the jeans so they're low enough, but the thigh area is too big.  i want to make it more fit, but the hole/rip is on the knee, and i don't wanna mess that up too much. also, i don't want it to look sorta ruffly near the waistband...is there anyway to make the legs smaller, and the waistband lower? thankss! Smiley
4  BATH AND BEAUTY / Bath and Beauty: Discussion and Questions / Cheap temporary hair dye. on: August 08, 2006 10:39:45 AM
I want to put a gray [or is it grey?] streak in the front of my hair and in my bangs but my mother refuses to pay for it, so i was thinking that i could just buy something somewhere and put it in myself...but i don't want it to be like a whole mess in my hair. i've never really done any dying to my hair, except with koolaid and that was a mess...so i thought i'd ask before i did something.  Cheesy any suggestions? Something? Anyways, help is appreciated.
8  KNITTING / Knitting: Discussion and Questions / Tie Pattern? on: January 13, 2006 03:18:52 PM
I need a tie pattern that's a fairly big tie, kinda medium size, like average size or whatever like in width not a skinny tie.  If anyone has any patterns with pictures I'dd be incredibly happy.  Cheesy  Wink  Oh yes, and I want it to be solid without patterns.

I feel so...Strange...Making this post and I'm not sure why Grin But, hopefully it will help other people than me Cheesy Anybody have any simple ways to make pleats and ruffles?  I kinda have a vague idea to do pleats, but I want another way to see if my way is right.  And like to do ruffles can't you like hand stich and then pull on the end or something?
