1  CLOTHING / Clothing: Completed Projects: General / "Raw" botanical and lace party dress on: May 23, 2008 10:04:19 PM
Made this dress a while ago...had a funny shape to the bodice. I tacked it up just in time for a Student-Faculty mixer at my dorm. Yes the skirt's a little see-through, but I wore something under it before. Not like you can see anything Smiley I hope...

I used some ancient curtain fabric for the top and left it with unfinished edges. I like the fray. The weave is a really interesting texture too. The skirt is an old prefab curtain...So I guess it's part reconstruction.

It was really fun to wear, received lots of compliments. But now I don't have anywhere else to wear it Smiley Comments, etc, appreciated.
2  OCCASIONS AND HOLIDAYS / Valentine's Day / Valentine's "outfit" on: February 06, 2008 12:55:42 PM
One day last semester my BF had a surprise for me. When I finally made it back to campus after some long weekend or something, I discovered it was a nylon cheapy French maid outfit.  Huh

Well, at least he was thinking about me. For a while now I've been planning/slowly working on more sophisticated (maybe) outfits for him if that's what he's into. But I'm having a hard time and I'd really like to finish one or two for V-DAY.

Any ideas for easy lingerie-esque outfits in themes such as maids and nurses and whatever other weird fantasies boys apparently have? I've looked through tutorials to see what can be modified...Really I'm just curious to what you guys think.
3  CLOTHING / Clothing: Discussion and Questions / vogue 8351!! on: June 24, 2007 07:55:42 PM
shot in the dark here, but i cut all the tabs off my pattern pieces...
yes, i lost my mind. no, i don't know what i'm doing.
really, i don't need them except for this crazy draped neckline. i was just wondering if anyone could lend a hand, those with experience in this pattern maybe?

6  CLOTHING / Shoes: Completed Projects / pimped out chucks on: February 15, 2007 10:57:38 PM
sooo i started out spray painting over my faded old, holey black converse. they were pretty cool. and i loved loved loved my ocher shoelaces. i ran out of silver spray paint. so i took them to my mom's shop to airbrush them with the big guns, plus with a primer basecoat and some sealer top coat. also, i went with an antique silver, which has brightened up after a few days, instead of a reg-ler one. but i left the shoe laces in my mom's car, and she went away for like 10 days. so i put some leopard, super shiney ribbon up in there. and now they're way over the top and awesome. Smiley
