i'm pretty sure they don't go on ucas points, as with most art-type courses. just have an exciting and varied portfolio and hopefully they'll love you!
i'm applying for their foundation course at the moment, it's not my first choice because i don't think i could hack living in london, but i'm still excited about getting an interview.

i wanted a scarf for christmas, so my mu bought be 5 balls of yarn and some needles! i was at my nan's the day i got it so she taught me the basucs...the rest i learnt from stitch and bitch, though my mum was always there to help when i dropped a stitch Smiley

you could, though the knitted fabric won't be as strong - the main idea that horizontal herringbone is used is to make a really sturdy fabric.
