1  GLASS CRAFTS / Glass Crafts: Discussion and Questions / Re: STAINED GLASS! on: August 19, 2006 07:17:00 PM
Wow, my favorites were your Japanese-themed items, especially the "Four Elements." I thought your "PS I Love You" was sheer brilliance!! If you hadn't mentioned the history of the piece, I still would have thought it was one of my favorites on your site--nice work. (I don't play video games.)

Thanks for your beginner project suggestion too! I started my first stained glass class today. That looks like a great second project for me. (We have a required first project to begin with.)

Oooooh!!!! I bet you and your hubby could open a chain of these and make a mint! Of course, people would have to order more than one to get full. With the labor required, burgers, fries, and a drink would be about $50--at least. Wow, you could even help shrink the waistlines of Americans. Minisize me please! Great job! You simply must keep crafting with hubby.

PS I thought it was sweet how you cut the burger in half and shared it when you were done.   Grin

You're saving thousands on therapy, thanks to Leah. Throw a little green around and support Craftster NOW!"

So, true!! I think of my Craftster membership somewhat like a magazine subscription--but it's SO much better than that. It has new ideas for me everyday--even in the middle of the night. It doesn't take up space in my house (not like a pile of magazines would). There're no stinky perfume ads that drive me batty. And I don't have to rely on my postwoman to bring me crafty goodness. Grin

Thank you Leah for all that you do!! I think you deserve the most beautifully crafted room with someone wiping your brow and bringing you herb tea while you work--oh, and rubbing your shoulders and feet as needed. Heck, you can have a-n-y-t-h-i-n-g you want to drink as long as you keep bringing us Craftster!! Grin
4  MORE ART, LESS CRAFT / More Art, Less Craft: Completed Works / Re: Watercolors-image heavy on: January 30, 2006 07:38:55 AM
My favorites are the last two. I'm drawn to representations of water. Both of yours suggest movement and make me pause. Nice compositions and color selections!
5  CLOTHING / Clothing: Completed Projects: General / Re: sick of tulle? ...don't click here hahaa...my new lovely skirt on: January 30, 2006 06:22:59 AM
Your skirt is super cute!! Grin  Do you plan to wear it for a special occasion? Heck, maybe it's everyday wear now for all I know. (I'm SO out of the loop ... sigh.)

Oh, sorry to hear about your *ss, but your cutting the tulle was definitely worth it. Wink
6  NEEDLEWORK / Needlework: Completed Projects / Re: rabbit moon on: January 29, 2006 11:57:43 AM
This image inspires a quiet awe. And it resonates with me ... days after first seeing it. Thoughtful embroidery and design, and beautifully rendered!!

I just love it it reminds me of something you would see in a very pretty childrens book perhaps!
A children's book would be excellent!! I'm a children's book fanatic--was before my son (3 1/2 yrs.) was born--and still am. I just think others would love to see your work too--on a broader scale. Maybe you could embroider other cultural legends of the moon too, enough to make a book? (Like you don't have anything else to do right? Grin)

Thanks for sharing!! Oh, I'm clicking "this rocks" for you too.
7  NEEDLEWORK / Needlework: Completed Projects / Re: dance ladies! dance! on: January 28, 2006 08:35:12 AM
* clck *    That was the sound of my jaw dropping in awe. Shocked Wow! That is freakin' incredible!!! I'm clicking this rocks because you rock, my dear. Grin I bet your friend was thrilled.

So, I have to ask, how did you keep the fabric paint from bleeding into areas where you didn't want it?

8  CROCHET / Crochet: Discussion and Questions / Re: My wife is creeped out by me chrocheting....... on: January 23, 2006 03:01:09 AM
That was so loving of your grandmother to teach you how to crochet.  Smiley

I think it's great that you crochet!! Seems like such a healthy way to relax after a busy day. Much better than downing multiple beers (or other things).
9  TOYS, DOLLS AND PLAYTHINGS / Toys, Dolls and Playthings: Completed Projects / Re: Reluctant Tampon Friend on: January 19, 2006 09:12:26 AM
Bwahahahahahahaha!!! He looks so huggable! Maybe he needs a little love, before he goes on his mission? Perfect expression on his face!

Makes me think of Prince Charles and his fantasy of living in his then mistress Camilla's trousers as a tampon. (Intercepted phone sex of 1989.)

10  TOYS, DOLLS AND PLAYTHINGS / Toys, Dolls and Playthings: Completed Projects / Re: valentine fatkitties on: January 19, 2006 06:51:55 AM
Super cute!! My favorite awake one is the white; favorite asleep is the blue. And I absolutely LOVE the overflowing envelope of valentines on his tummy--all delivered while he was sleeping. Grin Oh, sleepy blue kittty won't you be surprised when you wake up! Great job on all of them!!
