1  IMAGE REPRODUCTION TECHNIQUES / Stenciling: Completed Projects / panda, skull, hand, & sun stencils - again with the bleach on: December 15, 2005 03:17:23 PM
so i recently figured out that if you cut the clear vinyl-ish stuff off of the front of a binder, it makes really good, durable stencils.

i'm not sure what i'll do with these yet; these were just practice runs. the small details are much clearer in real life... boo beans to cell phone cameras. skull & human hand bones:

so now i'm obsessed with printing my own fabric patterns the green is a bad panda (he has little fangs & claws!) & the pink is a little smiling sunshine... the colors are so off in these pictures. bah. a mermaid is next in the works.

2  PURSES, BAGS, WALLETS / Purses, Bags, Wallets: Completed Projects: General / lordy lordy look at this jordy. on: December 10, 2005 11:33:45 PM
or something... it's late/early.

apologies for the crummy cellular telephone pictures.

i just finished my first jordy bag with double straps, center flap, inside no-zip pocket, & magnetic closure.

it's probably the best, most finished looking bag i've made yet. usually, i'm not so worried about completely completing things for myself, you know? i'm going to trade it with my hairdresser for a free dye-job. awesome.

3  IMAGE REPRODUCTION TECHNIQUES / Stenciling: Completed Projects / skull shirt with a side of AWESOME. on: November 18, 2005 06:46:27 AM
i started with a blank target t-shirt (they're so super nice & soft), traced the basic outline of the skull shape from my computer screen, spray glued the paper to some heavy-ish art paper stuff, x-actoed it out, & sprayed straight bleach over it. i'm still in the process of beading... you can't really see them in the picture, but there are tiny silver/clear seed beads scattered throughout the bleached areas.

4  MISCELLANEOUS TOPICS / Discussion and Questions / HELP! zipper + sweatshirt = weird rippling... on: October 18, 2005 07:22:48 PM
i'm trying to make a hoodie out of an old sweatshirt. i cut a straight line up the front, & sewed in a zipper. the problem is, when it's zipped up, the zipper area has these really ugly bulges that stick out from my gut! yargh! i have a feeling it has something to do with the sweatshirt fabric stretching as i sew the zipper on, but i'm not really sure what to do about this.
5  MISCELLANEOUS TOPICS / Completed Projects / everybody in keytars on: September 14, 2005 12:45:43 AM
keytar from foam board, acrylic, spraypaint, & glue. please note the awesomely skull-shaped built-in "amp".

thank you.
6  CLOTHING / Shoes: Completed Projects / monster shoe on: September 14, 2005 12:29:13 AM
i guess this is the most appropriate board for this... it's the sole & upper of a cheapo black patent stiletto, with short-pile fur, felt, & weirdo plastic eyeballs from my mom's briefcase. i carved the heel out of floral foam, but would like to replace it with something wearable. any ideas? cork, or rubber maybe? blah.

7  IMAGE REPRODUCTION TECHNIQUES / Stenciling: Completed Projects / eazy e on: September 14, 2005 12:21:04 AM
eazy e stencil from a couple of months ago. i made a shirt, but the paint wasn't contrast-y enough with the fabric, so it got scrapped.

blotchy letters in the test run...
8  IMAGE REPRODUCTION TECHNIQUES / Stenciling: Completed Projects / skull stencil on: September 12, 2005 03:35:25 AM
this is my first post, so bear with me. i sprayed a gold base, replaced the loose pieces, & used a matte red over it.

i also made a few cards & a shirt (in green & blue), but haven't gotten around to taking pictures of them. a scan of the stencil itself:

that's all!
