Awesome I didn't know that Smiley (it's a little less bakura to do it that way though)
893  TOYS, DOLLS AND PLAYTHINGS / Toys, Dolls and Playthings: Completed Projects / Re: pink haired waldorf doll and kitty doll are good friends! on: January 08, 2006 06:22:15 PM
the pattern can be bought for about $5 at www. magiccabin.com
if you really want to make one, you should buy the pattern. its a lot of fun.
it is pretty complicated, so a tute would take me days to write and i just dont have the time Wink

You can also download the pattern from the waldorf home school website for free Smiley just google "waldorf doll" it should be the first one to come up.. (also has a link to amazon selling the Sunhild Reinkins book)

Excellent Excellent job. I recently did a google enterprise into finding out the current internet value of waldorf dolls and was absolutely disgusted with what I found. So many people make really.. bad dolls. The faces are terrible and the hair is all wrong. (if you're going to put a face on a waldorf doll at least make it a -nice- face grrr...) and just.. erg.. monopolizing on my childhood so terribly .. angryness ensues and such o_O

You m'dear have made beautiful waldorf style dolls I must say. Your faces are lovely and the actual body style merges rag doll with waldorf baby doll quite elegantly Smiley The t-shirt bit is awesome, and the kitty is adorable Cheesy

Wah! That is so incredibly original (all of them). I'm sure you'll do very well with them at the craft fair. If I were not low budget art student I would definitely look into purchasing one from you (interested in a trade?)
896  MISCELLANEOUS TOPICS / Completed Projects / Re: Wine Glass Tags! on: January 08, 2006 05:16:32 PM
That's an excellent idea. Quite prettily done too.. now if only there were a way to mark glass markers so elegant XD

I carefully peeled them off the bottles.. where they were being diffigicult I cut them with an exacto knife (make sure the knife is sharp and not cutting your fingers when you do so too)

This is something I did during the past summer. It's all jones labels and packing tape. The shoulder strap is off of one of my portfolio cases, and the closing bit is a hair clip held on with safety pins. I got the idea from the drink sac recycled bags.
