I received an adorable ATC from gingerquilts this week:
It's called "Bird of Whimsy" and it makes me smile!! I love the fringey purple threads and how the blues and purple meld together with the burst of hot pink!
Oh my! Barbolot's tree is so beautiful. And I love kikigirl's felted kitty with polka dots! Is that a Dr. Seuss character or another children's book character?...he looks familiar!
I definitely need to practice with fabric ATC's--I'm so accustomed to making paper ATC's and now I understand the fabric ones are on a whole 'nother level of skill!
Oh, I love the dragon ATC and the pretty blue ATC. good job!
I've noticed that there are definitely ATC makers in this group who have mad sewing skills. I have no sewing skills, other than embroidery (and I'm hardly an expert)! I'm more paper-focused, and I think it's interesting to see the ATCs that come from more sewing-focused ppl. All the cards are great...don't get me wrong! I was just comparing and contrasting my skills more than other people's skills.
At last, here is my wonderful card from Colorfuldayz:
The scan is a little faint, but the embroidered words say "Take a magic carpet ride." The pastel colors are sooooo pretty and I love everything about this pretty card!
I received from Colorfuldayz yesterday! I will scan and post a picture tomorrow. It's quite smashing, as you might imagine from clever, creative Colorfuldayz.
