1  Re: Fabric ATC Swap Gallery! in The Swap Gallery by KCGal on: June 16, 2007 04:16:01 PM
I did scan 2 of the ATCs that have been received already, so I'll post the pic since Colorfuldayz requested:

"Swallow" is on the left and it went to gingerquilts and "Monkey Bizness" went to Colorfuldayz.

I received an adorable ATC from gingerquilts this week:

It's called "Bird of Whimsy" and it makes me smile!!  I love the fringey purple threads and how the blues and purple meld together with the burst of hot pink!

thanks, gingerquilts!!

At last, here is my wonderful card from Colorfuldayz:

The scan is a little faint, but the embroidered words say "Take a magic carpet ride."  The pastel colors are sooooo pretty and I love everything about this pretty card!

Thanks again, Colorfuldayz.

Okay, I received from CJSachiko and KCGal about a week ago (so sorry I haven't posted yet!) and they're fantastic. KCGal did Rushmore...I don't have pictures, so if you two could post them, I would really appreciate it.

Here is the "Rushmore" card I made for tunainthebrine:

It looks like one of my partners has received, so I'll post the "Bride and Prejudice" card I made for luckie_strike:

I found the Indian web site for the movie and printed the movie title from it!  I chose the "curry" colors to use for the card itself and the layer of vellum.  The little jewels are authentic Indian decorations.

I love that movie, too!

I received a lovely "Amelie" card from redheadskydiver yesterday!  Here it is:

I love how she used the "photo booth" technique for the little pics of dear Amelie.  And she used the movie's color palette of red and green.

Merci beaucoup!

7  Re: Fill-a-Matchbox SUPPLY Swap R1 (Send Feb 28) in The Swap Gallery by KCGal on: March 07, 2007 07:40:33 PM
At long last, I'm posting pics of all 3 of my wonderful boxes.  I wasn't procrastinating...just couldn't find my daughter's digi camera.  Without further ado:

from Stifflersmom:

Her box is handmade, and it arrived with little silk flowers sticking out and wrapped with a groovy tape measure "ribbon."  I think I mentioned the very fun unmounted rubber stamps.  I got 2:  "too bad so sad" and "you're not the boss of me."  They are my fav's!  There are also teeny, tiny shells...and I'm a shell fanatic.  Thanks, Stifflersmom!

Here's the one from kittensOMG:

Another handmade box, with an x-ray mounted on top!  More shells (from New Zealand!), cute Japanese anime stickers, some fun embroidered patches, and many other treasures.  Love it, Kenzie!

My 3rd box, from princess*of*capri:

It's a beautiful blue and orange floral box with "artistic" collaged on the top.  Inside were supplies for making beaded stitch markers, some mini playing cards (fun!), and some nifty sequins and stickers.  Many thanks!

I apologize for the poor quality of the photos.

I received my first ATC, from CJSachiko.  It's "The Princess Bride" and I "truly love" it!

thanks a bunch, CJ!

9  Re: February Card-a-day club GALLERY in Artist Trading Cards (ATCs) by KCGal on: February 24, 2007 07:14:38 AM
Woo hoo!  I made it to the final Saturday in February, so here is my final ATC for this month:

I was in a "red mood" when I made it.  It's origami paper with quilted flowers that I attached with tiny, red brads.  It's in  a plastic sleeve, hence the glare.

Here's my Saturday ATC.  Made it for an ATC swap a few weeks ago (World's Largest, I think):

It's embroidered, using Sublime Stitching's monkey pattern.
