Now, it's my turn to twist.......
Who couldn't use an emergency stain-kit?

Personally, I want one that says WTF? or clams.....

I received an amazing package from my secret FOC pal last nite. I have always wanted a panta, and lo-and-behold! my fondest wish was granted in grand style! There was also a great bracelet in a satin box. I am so spoiled!!! Take a peek:

 (please excuse my giantess paw!)

The card she sent just blew me a way! Enclosed was a quote from Joan Jett:
Girls have balls, too. They are just higher up!

Thank you so very much secret pal!!
I have a couple of clues, but I am wondering if someone mailed the package for her....hmmmm.....the mystery deepens!

I love this swap!!!!

Drum roll please.........................This is what the fabulous gingerquilts sent to me ( and it's in shades of pink & green - my fave!!!!!)

The 'after' cosmo kit in a darling bag: aspirin, eye mask, water bottle (in rehydration we trust), rolaids and toys to keep bambino busy while mom recovers.

An apron (YES!! I love aprons!!!), tea towels, cosmo lip gloss, a small purse, a cute necklace and a cosmo lamp to put Ralphie's Dad's Leg Lamp to SHAME!

The cutest quilted sign to hang on the door knob:

Everything had these great little explaination tags attached

Details from the purse and necklace

And my fabulous cosmolicious lamp!!
She also included with the lamp "Instructions for dummies" in which she was kind enough to clarify the butchered English used in the instructions. (black type=actual wording, blue=ginga's clarifying remarks):
1. Do not connect yor lamp to AC mains whilst assembling. Thou shalst be ok, 'tis already assembled
7. The attachment included stirrer olny. WTF?
8. Do not run with scissors. Oh, and wear clean undies in case you're in an accident.
1a. Do not drink beverages from lamp whilst plugged in
2a. Drink one before one too many to enjoyeth lamp's beauty fully
I am totally spoiled and will never need another cosmo item ever (except maybe vodka....)
Thank you so very much ginga! I am totally amazed at your craftiness and generosity! I have had the gooniest smile plastered on my face ever since opening it..... Grin Grin Grin Grin

*does a little dance*

185  Re: THRIFT STORE PURSE REVAMP 2 GALLERY in The Swap Gallery by Stifflersmom on: January 05, 2006 08:42:25 PM
Here's my boring old nanny-bag before it went on vacation to Rackycoo's house (the top one):

WRITER78 - YOU WIN THE CIGAR!  I do believe that this little lady is Carmen Miranda (CM).......

Hand beaded applique for a bit of razzle-dazzle!

She removed the offensive handle and replaced it with a lovely red belt with cute little watermelon buttons. She also modified the original thrift store price tag to reflect it's new value. I may have to laminate that for a key chain.

Added a new lining, she must have hired elves to do this as the interior is mighty tiny. I'm not sure if you can see it in the pic, but one of the elves left a bitty little strawberry as a zipper pull.

Oh yes, those magnets say WTF?, which makes me giggle everytime I see it. You have a great memory, racky!! She also sent handmade soap, probably to wash my mouth out with after saying WTF?, a darling little board book and a sundae stamp that is too cute!

Rackycoo - Thank you so very much, I love my new feisty little bag!

Yes, I know you are all green with envy, but I'm sure I will be too when you guys post your revamped beauties!

Rear Window is a fabulous movie!! Why would such a cute little chickie stick around an old codger with a bum leg? I'll have to pop it on tonite for a refresher, mix up a cosmo and ring in the new year!

'nuff said!

189  Re: I <3 COFFEE/TEA SWAP GALLERY! in The Swap Gallery by Stifflersmom on: December 30, 2005 09:05:37 PM
This what I sent orangeabsinthe

The first isn't the exact purse I sent her, but they are twins except for a different handle. It's a Sha-Sha dream bag (thanks Cheap Frills!). I didn't have a good pic of the bag I sent.
The 2nd pic is of the coasters. They were a new project, too. The camera does funny things with the colors of shiny things, sorry.

Well, and who knew kit-kat came in coffee flavor? Yum!

Glad you liked what I sent, and thanks for the nod to post. I can't wait to get my package!!

Here's a pic of the argyle elf:

I only have the pic saved on the 'puter, finding the pattern is another kettle of fish.
Not as cute as your monkeys, but retro-licious.
