1  CROCHET / Crochet: Discussion and Questions / fiber for a bikini on: September 28, 2006 04:22:03 AM
I want to make a crocheted bikini. Which do you think wuld be the best fiber for it? It should be something that dries quite fast, but I'm not really sure which material to use.

It would be lined with normal swimsuit material, so see-throughness wouldn't really be an issue.

Any suggestions?
2  CRAFTY BUSINESS ADVICE / Selling Crafts on Etsy.com / problems registering with Etsy? on: June 15, 2006 03:04:44 AM
I've been trying for ages, with different emails, but never get the confirmation e-mail.

is it just me, or did it happened to someone else as well??  It's so annoying, I really want an account, but just can't get it.
3  CRAFTY BUSINESS ADVICE / Get Product and Website Opinions / Newsboy-ish cap on: April 30, 2006 12:55:11 PM
I finished it a like 2 weeks ago, but completely forgot to post.

It looks sort of weird on my Eeyore plushie, but really cute once worn (I'd modeled it myself, but I've been awake for more than 14 hours today, and I don't look really model-like right now!)

I've been thinking of opening an Etsy shop and sell my stuff for a while now.
Do you think hats like this would be marketable? I was thinking around $7/8, $10 max (shipping included), in many colors, I'm lucky enough to be able to get good fabric for a low price. And probably some crocheted one (same pattern, only crocheted).
4  CROCHET / Crochet: Completed Projects / multicolored poncho (somewhat image heavy) on: September 15, 2005 03:41:58 AM
Yarn is Ond (color 22), it's from Chile, and a bit complicated to find. But I got it when I went bargaing hunting a couple days ago. Lucky me!

The whole of it:

In case anyone's interested, I'll post the pattern as soon as I've written it (but I bet you can tell how it's done, it's really simple).
5  CROCHET / Crochet: Discussion and Questions / Crocheting with beads? on: September 04, 2005 01:10:15 PM
I'm trying to learn how to crochet with beads. And in the couple days i've been here, i've realized how much you all people know, so...
does any of you knowledgeable craftsters have any tips, or links to sites or patterns, or personal experiences to learn from.
I'd also ask for book tips, but seeing as I live in Spain, getting them would be expensive, and not really fit into my student-budget  Undecided

I've had a few tries, but nothing serious (no real finished works, just some playing around), and well, I could use some help.
