I just hope university leaves me enough free time.
132  CROCHET / Crochetalongs / Re: Anthropologie-Inspired Cloche Crochetaong! on: September 01, 2005 08:13:48 AM
I'll probably join in, head gear doesn't ussusally look great on me, but I've been meaning to make a cloche for a while now.

mmm.... I'm thinking light green or beige  Undecided

can't wait to see it finished, it'll look great.

You should seriously think about selling custom-made portraits, though it would probably be a lot of work...
134  BATH AND BEAUTY / Bath and Beauty: Discussion and Questions / Re: Finger nail art on: August 31, 2005 02:34:48 PM
wow!! those are so amazing!

It's incredible how you added all that detail into such tiny things.
135  CROCHET / Crochet: Discussion and Questions / Re: When did you learn to crochet? on: August 31, 2005 05:39:45 AM
I started learning (my grandma and mum taught me) when I was 7, but only managed to make a chain.

When I was 12 I bought a book, a hook, some yarn and taught myself. So.... that would make it 7 years now.
136  CROCHET / Crochet: Discussion and Questions / Re: How do you care for crochet? on: August 31, 2005 04:25:11 AM
I just throw it all into the washing machine (but always with cold water, hot would kill my clothes). And if it's doilies or thing that have to be flat I iron them as any other thing.
137  COOKING / Recipes and Cooking Tips / Re: Ancient Foods?? on: August 31, 2005 04:07:39 AM
I've had this link in my faves for some time http://www.cs.cmu.edu/~mjw/recipes/ethnic/historical/ant-rom-coll.html

it's for Roman food, but I've never tried any of those... so no idea if things will turn out tasty or completely horrible.
138  NEEDLEWORK / Needlework: Stitchalongs / Re: Beware Of Mushrooms on: August 31, 2005 04:03:08 AM
How cute are those mushrooms? And what a better way to get started in Craftster than to join a stitchalong?

I'll probably use one of the smaller ones to embellish a really boring mini-purse that's been asking for a facelift.
