Awww!  Thanks for posting the Red Wings square for me.  We were eliminated in the first round of the playoffs which was such a disappointment after the awesome regular season they had so it was nice to see this.

That is too cool!  I love hockey and I love quilts!  You did such a great job!  Do you have a close-up of the Red Wings square?   Smiley

I saw a quilt one time that was made by the actual muppeteers and such that this reminds me of. I think I saw the picture in "The muppets big book of crafts" if anyone is interested it's a really nice book

The Jim Henson Company had a tradition where they made quilts for "life events" of fellow employees -- for the birth/adoption of a child, retirement, etc. (and  when muppeteer Richard Hunt died they made squares to add to the AIDS quilt).  The quilt book has a ton of pictures of quilts that were made by them throughout the years and it is worth getting just to see them, even if you're not interested in making a quilt yourself.  Each employee (the ones who wanted to participate) would make one square for the quilt.

I received today!!!!  I wasn't expecting it so soon because it was coming from Canada but here it is already!

Lexis is an *awesome* swap partner.  I feel so lucky. She did a GREAT job at incorporating so many of my favorite Shel Silverstein poems in to what she made me!

Hug 'o War Picture (complete with googly eyes!)

AMAZING Felted Vessel/bowl/hat (it's a multi-purpose craft!)

Inside view of the AMAZING felted vessel/bowl/hat
Surprise! It's Giving Tree themed!

A bookmark with the poem Upside-down on it, A fabulous altered tin that has my all-time favorite Silverstein poem Ickle Me, Pickle Me, Tickle Me too as its theme (the inside of this tin is super cool too), a "shrinky charm thingamabob" with The Little Boy & the Old Man on it (I think I'm going to use this as a bookmark too!), and a really nice card with a Giraffe & a Half theme to it (plus I found a little Giraffe and a half shrinky dink hiding in with everything else)

Thank you so much, Tanis! I REALLY like it all so much!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! Kiss

Wow!  Great stuff!  Good job, Boywonder!

Those paintings are fantastic!  You are very talented!

Teapotdnky - I think it's safe to say that you are now the owner of the coolest needle roll ever!

The Monster at the end of this Book is such a classic!  All the suspense builds up and then, it turns out that the monster is just loveable, furry old Grover!   Grin

Okay!  Just checking in with the latest status on this swap....  According to my notes these are the only outstanding packages:

Jane Doe
minniepearl
redheadedali

I'm not concerned because these (except for one) are swappers who sent overseas/international so I expected the ship time to be a bit longer.  Please let me know if you're still waiting on a package and I didn't list your partner here.  Thanks!

Thanks you guys!  My niece does seem to like it a lot.  She kept pointing to each individual square and laughing.  When I took the quilt away to take the picture, she got all upset!  It was so much fun to make!
