341  BATH AND BEAUTY / Bath and Beauty: Completed Projects / Re: Froggy & Ducky Soap! on: September 12, 2005 06:41:33 AM
Thanks - you should make one - they are a lot of fun.  Kids love to use them because they can't wait to get the duck or frog out of the soap so it's a great tool for moms who have a hard time getting their kids to take a bath!   Grin

That's an AWESOME tradition to start - what a neat idea!  What do you plan on doing with the quilts once they are completed?  Are you going to display them on your classroom walls?

I love the colors you used for it!  Great job!
344  BATH AND BEAUTY / Bath and Beauty: Completed Projects / Froggy & Ducky Soap! on: September 11, 2005 05:04:56 PM
I made 40 of the rubber ducky soaps for my sister's duck-themed baby shower as party favors for the guests.  I scented them with cherry-lime fragrance oil.  I put each soap in a clear plastic cello bag & tied it with a ribbon that said "It's a Girl!"  I made a few of the frog soaps to give to my nephew.

(I apologize for the poor picture quality)

I got the instructions on how to make them from:

They were a big hit at the shower!   Smiley

Very nice.  I'm loving the return of wooded beads in jewelry this fall.

I love that quilt!  Good job!

I'm in the process of making a quilt that will have lyrics to a song on it - similar to the layout you used for the Walrus & the Carpenter quote.  I'm a bit anxious about it because I doubt I'll be able to get the words to look as great at you got yours to look.
