*does Snoopy dance*

I received from my wonderfully sweet swap angel Poo Head today!  She made me the cutest Snoopy notecards ever! I can't believe how awesome these look and all the detail and time she put into making them.  She also made me personalized return address labels - snoopy themed of course - for the envelopes!  I feel so spoiled!

Here's a picture:

THANK YOU so much, Poo Head!

grasshopper/krebstar5 - do either you have pictures of the goodies grasshopper sent?

BTW, today is the 16th anniversary of Jim Henson's death.  I can't believe he's been gone for 16 years!   Cry  So wear/look at/play with all your muppety goods today in honor of Jim! I'm wearing the necklace SonjaBoo made for me today!  Luckily I work in a creative environment so it doesn't look too odd for a 31 year old to be wearing a necklace w/Kermit the Frog on it!

Viridis - such cute things! Slimey is so cute!

Minniepearl is shipping to you soon.  Since she was added to the swap later than everyone else I gave her some extra crafting time.

I was looking at more Shel Silverstein and his kids site is really cute!  There are fun animations for it, I was completely tickled pink when I saw it.  www.shelsilverstein.com

Isn't that site great?!  It's fun and captures the spirit of Shel's books.
36  Craft Swaps / ARCHIVE OF SWAPS THAT ARE TOTALLY FINISHED / Re: "This is Me" CD Swap! Signup 4-18 to 4-25 Send by 5-05 CLOSED on: May 15, 2006 07:06:16 AM
I sent on Thursday, 5/4 and haven't heard anything from my partner yet.  I hope he's received it!

I got his last week.  I think this was a very interesting swap. My partner for this swap is half my age (he's sixteen & I'm almost 32!) so it was neat to see the songs he picked vs. the ones I picked.  He picked a Jack Johnson song and wrote about why he picked that song and said something along the lines that it "amazed" him that someone "well into their 30s" could still be optimistic and passionate about love (Jack is 31).  It made me feel old, but I got a good laugh out of it!   Cheesy
37  QUILTING / Quilting: Discussion and Questions / Re: Sesame Street/Muppet Show Quilts (In Progress) on: May 14, 2006 07:40:07 PM
Great job, Roxy Nova!!!!!  The fleece worked out really well for Fozzie - I'll have to try that because I just can't find anything that comes close to the right color for him.  Can't wait to see the completed project!!!!!

That is so cute!  What patience you must have to complete something like that!  I like the silver on Oscar's trash can...is that lame (luh-may...as in the fabric)?  Also, is that fun fur material on Cookie Monster, Ernie, Oscar, and The Count?

Thank you so much!  Yep, Oscar's trash can is made out of lame and I used fun fur for cookie, ernie's hair, elmo, etc.  Lots of fun fur! Grover is made out of an old blue bath towel I had.  When I went shopping for fabric at Joann's for this project I had the weirdest assortments of colors and textures in my shopping cart and everyone was like *what* in the world are you making?!
40  ORGANIZED CRAFT SWAPS / New Swap Theme Ideas / Re: (another) Random Theme or Favorite Song ATC Swap? on: May 13, 2006 07:36:16 AM
I'm interested!  I had to back out of the last song lyric ATC swap so I'd love to do this one!  I think a book ATC theme is a GREAT idea too & would be a little different since there's already been a couple of song lyric swaps.
