I received from Kymporter a while ago and I'm sorry I haven't had a chance to post pictures sooner!  She teased you above with a picture of the lamp, but wait until you see what else she made me!

This cool bag:

back of bag:

The matching wallet:

The rubik's cube:

And more pictures of the lamp!  She did a different picture on every side.  It makes me laugh each time I look at it!   Grin

Thank you so much, Kymporter. I am spoiled!

2  Re: "This is Me" CD Swap Gallery! in The Swap Gallery by anna-begins on: June 15, 2006 05:42:12 PM
Well poor Auro has FINALLY received the CD I made for him.  There was a shipping mishap but I'm happy to say he got it today!  Here's the cover:

And here's the playlist:

1. Mahna Mahna The Muppets.   If my life had a theme song, this would be it!
2. Anna Begins The Counting Crows.  My online persona.  I love this song, and the title is *very* close to my real name!
3. Take on Me Real Big Fish (punk cover).  Im a child of the 80s, and my first concert was A-ha!  I had such a crush on Morton Harket!
4. Taj Mahal Sam Roberts.  I want to marry Sam Roberts.
5. Solsbury Hill Peter Gabriel.  This song plays in my head whenever Im making a big decision or change in my life.
6. Lucy in the Sky with Diamonds  The Beatles.  I love the Beatles so much it hurts.
7. All These Things That I Have Done The Killers.  I got soul but Im not a soldier.
8. Trukin The Grateful Dead.  I have a little bit of Hippie in me.  Peace.
9. The Lumberjack Song Monty Python.  Im not a lumberjack, but Im still okay!
10. I Wanna Grow Old With You Adam Sandler.  Im gonna play this song at my wedding.
11. Mr. Tambourine Man The Byrds.  This song always mellows me out.
12. Sesame Street Song Theme Song Sometimes I wonder what wouldve happened if no one ever told me how to get, how to get to Sesame Street..
13. One Gun 5440.  My ex boyfriend dedicated this song to me after we broke-up.  I havent really figured out what it means, or what he meant by it, but I like the song anyway.
14. Maps The Yeah Yeah Yeahs.  My favorite love song.
15. Pinky and the Brain Theme Song.  My favorite cartoon ever!  Narf!
16. Love in a Trash Can The Ravonettes.  Love is in a trashcan for me right now.  Sadly.
17. I Still Havent Found What Im Looking For U2.  Still lookin.

I also made a little keychain to go with it, but I didn't take a picture of that.

Just checking in with a quick update.  There are still two people who have yet to receive.  One I know is on its way but it was an international swap so that's where the delay is.  The other one is also an international swap BUT I haven't heard from the sender in quite a while and I don't know if she really actually shipped it out or not yet.  If I don't hear from her by Saturday I'm going to be asking for an angel for Viridis.

On another note, I thought I'd share a picture of the cakes I made for my niece's 1st birthday.  I used the pattern from the Quilting with the Muppets book for Cookie.  My niece had her own little cake too!

*does Snoopy dance*

I received from my wonderfully sweet swap angel Poo Head today!  She made me the cutest Snoopy notecards ever! I can't believe how awesome these look and all the detail and time she put into making them.  She also made me personalized return address labels - snoopy themed of course - for the envelopes!  I feel so spoiled!

Here's a picture:

THANK YOU so much, Poo Head!

5  Re: Shel Silverstein Swap Gallery in The Swap Gallery by anna-begins on: May 11, 2006 06:05:23 PM
I received today!!!!  I wasn't expecting it so soon because it was coming from Canada but here it is already!

Lexis is an *awesome* swap partner.  I feel so lucky. She did a GREAT job at incorporating so many of my favorite Shel Silverstein poems in to what she made me!

Hug 'o War Picture (complete with googly eyes!)

AMAZING Felted Vessel/bowl/hat (it's a multi-purpose craft!)

Inside view of the AMAZING felted vessel/bowl/hat
Surprise! It's Giving Tree themed!

A bookmark with the poem Upside-down on it, A fabulous altered tin that has my all-time favorite Silverstein poem Ickle Me, Pickle Me, Tickle Me too as its theme (the inside of this tin is super cool too), a "shrinky charm thingamabob" with The Little Boy & the Old Man on it (I think I'm going to use this as a bookmark too!), and a really nice card with a Giraffe & a Half theme to it (plus I found a little Giraffe and a half shrinky dink hiding in with everything else)

Thank you so much, Tanis! I REALLY like it all so much!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! Kiss

6  Sesame Street Quilt (finally finished!) in Quilting: Completed Projects by anna-begins on: May 07, 2006 09:31:39 AM
Well, I finally finished the Sesame Street Quilt I was making for my niece.  I got all the patterns for this one from the book "Quilting with the Muppets".  It is out of production, but you can still find the book in new condition on eBay for fairly cheap.  If you're interested, you can check out this link for my progress pictures as I was making it & answers to questions:

So, here it is!

I'm so glad you liked what I made, Erika!!  I had *so* much fun crafting for this swap!  I took some pictures before sending out so I'll post them here.

Trinket Box  The circles say Create, Dream, Imagine. The ribbons I used on the side of the box looked muppety to me so I had to add them!

Coasters w/micro beads

Fleece Blanket

Kermit Pillow

So my original partner didn't end up sending me anything but EowynUlysses was nice enough to be my angel!  I got her package today and I am very happy!

She made me this super soft hat:

And a great journal plus some stationary with pictures to match the quotes from the Raven (this ebony bird beguilling all my sad fancy into smiling), The Tell-Tale Heart (It was the beating of his hideous heart), The Black Cat (Pluto was a remarkably large and beautiful animal, entirely black), and The Masque of the Red Death (his broad brow, with all the features of the face was besprinkled with the scarlet horror).

Thanks so much, Elizabeth!!   Kiss

Time for a Muppet Newsflash!  I received from SonjaBoo today!!  Woo-hoo! She sent me the coolest things!!!!

A necklace with a picture of my craftster avatar!  Yeah!

A Muppet Stage that I can change the background scene on!!!!   It looks like the Muppet Show stage and it has tons of scenes from the Muppet Show on a scroll that you can roll to get to the one you want!

I had to get my Scooter action figure doll out (yes, I have a Scooter action figure doll, doesn't everyone?) so he could do an action shot for me.

An extra scroll that wouldn't fit in the muppet stage, but I'm going to find something crafty to do with it.  Also a super cute Fraggle picture book type thing!  It has my favorite Fraggle Boober on the front and it says "anna begins" on it!  And some super cute Sesame Street stickers!

Thank you so much, Sonjaboo for everything!  I am spoiled!

10  Re: Sesame Street/Muppet Show Quilts (In Progress) in Quilting: Discussion and Questions by anna-begins on: April 11, 2006 08:59:55 AM
Yeah - Beaker wasn't too hard for me either - but then again I only did his head.   I'm almost done with Piggy - and you're right, she's a tough one!  Have you done/are you going to do The Count?  He has a lot of pieces too!

I think I have some extra fur left over for what I used on Rowlf - I'll check to see how much I have left.  Just PM me if you'd like me to send it to you.
