My friend and I dressed as Na'vi from the movie Avatar. We made the noses with liquid latex that we constructed over clay molds.
I sewed the body suits, loin cloths, and tails. We sponge painted them to make them stripey, then used hemp, feathers, and beads to make the other accessories for the costume.
We also painted our eyelids so that when our eyes were closed they looked like the big, round, yellow Avatar eyes but I didn't get a good picture of that... Oh yeah, we also used a ton of blue body paint!

We saw someone who got a store-bought costume but I think ours were better. I think handmade is always better...

So we were on vacation and my boyfriend cut his foot on glass... we made a makeshift bandage out of paper towels and the luggage tape since we didn't have any medical tape around! Who says you can't recycle when you are on vacation?

Here are some beaded bracelets that I have made. I am addicted to making jewelry!!

I went to my uncle's house this weekend and he had taken apart an old washing machine and used the drum as a fire pit! It looked so awesome and when the fire was going you would never guess that it was from a washing machine! The little holes that the water usually goes through were perfect for ventilation to keep the fire going. I wish I had taken a picture!
Now if I ever see an ad for a free broken washing machine, I'm taking it!
