Hopefully this is the last angel I'll need for this swap, but I'm looking for an angel for AStrangeOne, whose partner disappeared.

Original swap thread is here:  http://www.craftster.org/forum/index.php?topic=353506.0

Please PM me if you are able to angel for AStrangeOne!

Thank you. Smiley
22  KNITTING / Knitting: Discussion and Questions / WIP Wednesday 10/13 - Show off your in-progress knitting here! on: October 13, 2010 04:49:43 AM
TWO Wednesdays in a row that I haven't forgotten WIP Wednesday! New record!

I hope everyone's is having a great, productive knitting week.  I can't wait to see the updates on all the sweaters, gloves and other projects y'all have been working on.

My contribution this week is pathetically small.  In my defense, I am the sole source of nutrition for one very adorable, and very hungry, little boy.  Knitting and nursing are not things you can do simultaneously.   Cheesy

This is a very, very slowly progressing scrappy ankle sock that I'm making for ptarmic wumpus for STS.  I've finished the heel flap and the heel turn is next. I love making these scrappy socks because they move along so quickly!

You can tell I'm now a momma because, if you look closely, you'll see my unwashed, uncombed hair.  Also notice that it's not particularly bright outside--that's due to my son's desire to eat breakfast before the roosters crow (and note that I've been up for over two hours already..)

Hopefully, we'll all be able to settle into more of a pattern within the next week.. I miss my knitting time!

So, how are YOUR projects coming along this week?

Ha! It's Wednesday! It's Wednesday and I actually remembered to start the thread!

So, personally, I've had a lazy week.  Well, not a lazy week, but one that has not involved a lot of knitting.  I've got a bag of odds and ends of wool and I'm working on knitting arm and handwarmers with them.

Not the best photo but it was early this morning when I snapped it.

There was a lot of action in the WIP thread last week. I'm excited to see how everyone's progressing with their projects.  So, what are YOU up to this week!? Cheesy
24  KNITTING / Knitting: Discussion and Questions / WIP "Wednesday" 9/29 - Show of your in progress projects here! on: September 30, 2010 05:50:32 AM
Okay.  Someone needs to send me a reminder when it's Wednesday or something.  Or, we can just rename these loosely WIP "Wednesdays" knowing that it's likely not to be Wednesday by the time I remember to post.

So, things here have been rather hectic for us.  I finally have officially popped... went into labor on 9/16 (our guess date) and, after an almost 60 hour labor, had our son on 9/19.  Since then, things here have been busy and I'm finding that a lot of things are difficult to do with one hand.

The good news in all of this is that I managed to get a TON of knitting done the couple of days before I went into labor!  I guess some women clean floor boards.. I ended up just knitting!

Scrappy Armwarmers.

Armwarmers #2.

Foliage Hat from a prior Knitty.

Bulky Ribbed Legwarmers.

FINALLY finished Juliet. (More details coming later..)

Excuse the giant belly and terrible photo but this is actual labor knitting.. I was having consistent, regular contractions and I decided to knit tiny ornament socks.  This is proof that you CAN knit in labor.

I know I had mentioned these forever ago, but here are the completed washcloths and soaps for the midwives and staff at our birthing center.  The soaps are from MareMare and smell amazing!

So, what's on your needles?  Grin

I am looking for an angel for JadedEva, whose partner flaked and disappeared.  Original swap requirements were for just TWO tiny things.  Please message me if you are interested in angeling for JadedEva!

26  KNITTING / Knitting: Completed Projects / Foliage Hat from Knitty Fall 2007 on: September 11, 2010 10:38:40 AM
Just using up some odds and ends of yarn over here and decided to cast on for the Foliage Hat from Knitty 2007.

I used one skein of Wool Ease Chunky in the colorway "Grass" on US8 needles.  The hat fits snuggly but not TOO snug, which is nice and it worked up quite quickly!

Yay! It's Wednesday and I remembered!

So, I'm thinking my son needs to be born sooner than later because he's totally ruined my knitting mojo.  Good thing I know you guys have lots to share!

What's on your knitting needles this week?

Aw, crap! It's Thursday!!! All day yesterday I was thinking about WIP Wednesday and how I couldn't forget to start it tomorrow.  Now it's tomorrow and it's Thursday!!! How does that happen!?

So, share your WIPs on a Thursday. It works the same way, right?  How's everyone doing? What are you working on? Smiley

So, how are everyone's socks this week!?  Cheesy

I have barely touched my needles all week.  I'm working on two projects, one of which I'm really, really not happy with and I think I may be frogging it by the end of this week.    Undecided

Hopefully someone will have had better luck over this last week?
