I am a terrible swap partner--I received the BEST swap package from ariaya about a week ago and I am just now getting to post the pictures!
My box was absolutely stuffed with the most amazing things. Everytime I've looked at the package, I am absolutely thrilled!
This is a close-up shot of several things: there is a vanilla candle, some nag champa incense (my favorite!), a small drawstring crochet bag, and two pouches of clay masques for my face.
And this is a close-up of two items she crocheted for me--a face/washcloth and a red shoulderbag. She said she made both without a pattern, which is truly impressive. I love the bag--I think I'm going to make it my lunch bag at work.
Four homemade soaps, including a hair bar (LOVE them!)
A bunch of bath stuff--bath jelly and bath syrup (yum!), lavender room spray, and lavender oil:
And toys + learn to crochet pack (which is why this has taken me forever because I've been sitting around with my instructions and crochet hook!)
Ariaya has completely spoiled me with the most wonderful package! I've got lots of last minute details to jump on!
I received my wonderful package from Shazrasha this week! Here's all my loot!
First, a wonderful tote bag. The fabric is great and the whole bag just feels incredible--I couldn't be more thrilled!
I had also mentioned in my questionnare that I'm always looking for a good way to carry my tea around with me.. otherwise all the bags end up in the bottom of my satchels looking a little worn. Shazrasha created this wonderful kit that has everything I will ever need on the go:
The little tins contain different varieties of loose tea. There are also pockets with tea bags and empty tea bags to create my own!
She also sent two boxes of tea, including a self-proclaimed box of Britain's best tea!
I received earlier in the week but the combination of moving + chaos + work + no internet means no posting until now.
I received the most wonderful ball from PlayitGeorge!
This is what it looked like fresh out of the box:
She sent a great purse pattern that will keep me busy, I'm sure, for a couple of days! I also love the yarn! It's amazingly soft and I can't wait to play with it!!!
Of course, I haven't played with it yet, except to unwind the MYB because I couldn't stand waiting!
Here are all the goods once unwrapped:
I have NO idea how she knew, but the Bath and Body Works Orange + Ginger lotion is absolutely one of my favorites from many years ago! I had shower gel from there in the same scent that I LOOOOOOOOVED but have never gone back to buy more! There was also some Kool-Aid , some beading wire (I want to knit beaded napkin ring holders, so this is perfect!), some beads, chapstick, a lint roller (which is great because I have the world's hairiest dog in my midst), a frippery kit to make my own jewelry, and an absolutely beautiful (!!!) head scarf that I'm almost too afraid to wear! I tried to get a clear picture of it and this is the best I got:
The yarn she used for the scarf is wonderful!
I was very, very spoiled with the MYB swap! Thanks for being an awesome partner, PlayitGeorge!
I received my box from redhead805 yesterday!!! (We're in the middle of moving so the camera, of course, was no where to be found, so I brought everything into work this morning to sneak pictures!)
The theme she picked was "Tea Time in a Box" and here is the wonderfully and very neatly decorated box:
Inside were all these goodies!
a beautiful hand-embroidered tea towel:
a set of four green ribbon coaster:
(four's my lucky number today!) a set of four wine charms (and look how cute that little blue teapot is!)
a set of four (!!!) tea invites (very funny b/c i used the same idea with her box--great minds, eh?)
and a perfect-for-the-kitchen tea time recipe book! (delicious recipes inside, too!)
and here are all the goodies together (b/c if all that stuff wasn't enough?!!)
She also included a box of earl gray tea (which appeals to my dorky star trek loving side), a box of camomile tea, green tea to go, a skein of yarn and a pattern to make my own tea cozy! Redhead805 thoroughly spoiled me!!!!!! I love everything! Thanks for such a wonderful swap!! Now, off to have a cup of tea!!!
The picture doesn't show it, but my favorite part of the box were these two elephants that she included. Love them!
The next I received was brusinraincloud's industrial sized matchbox!
I have already put most of this wonderful box to good use (especially those thimbles--my fingers thank you!)
Third, I received from Fluxity, the next matchbox!
LOOOOOVE the purple hippo! Sooooo cute!!!
Last, but not least!, I received from Macgirl_K the next box:
My favorites from this box were the airplanes and the clear elephant charm. I have absolutely no idea how she got everything to fit in the box so neatly--I'm going to have to hurry to find permanent homes for everything soon!
I am a very spoiled, very happy recipient of a swap package from maiziemama (whose amazingly fast knitting skills are also formidably admired!)
Now, the goodies:
The whole package:
You will notice that maizemama had the great idea to include the patterns of the dishclothes she made for me so I could make more!
Here's a closeup of one of the dishcloths.
And here's a semi-closeup of the entrelac dishcloth (I LOVE it!) (And I also took a much better picture of this one, but my photo account is, of course, acting up, so I will post this and post a clearer one as soon as it starts cooperating again...)
Just when I thought it couldn't get any better, I stumbled upon this perfect, sweet smelling surprise: felted soap!!!!!!
I am very, very, VERY estatic. I love the dishcloths and the soap was a wonderful extra to brighten my day! Thanks maiziemama for being such a wonderful partner!
(Now, back to the knitting where my slowpoke hands can slowpoke some more..)
