I just wanted to know that I had a wonderful time last night and was bummed that I had to leave early! You all seem so nice and I think it would be fun to make this a somewhat regular thing (I am Kathleen--the pre-k teacher with some not so ordinary ways of teaching lessons) Thanks again!
My mother has one of these that was damaged from water too and was able to refinish and salvage it. I'll ask her for some tips and get back to you. I know that for the inside, she was able to find paper that almost exactly matched the inside that was damaged on e-bay for a reasonable price. It was patterned with flowers. She was able to rebuild the drawers too....
Wow. I can't believe that it took me this long to find this board! I am in love with PR and can't wait for another season but from reading back the last few pages of posts, it may be sans Tim Gunn? I LOVE HIM. Also, on the Laura debate..issues...etc...I can understand what she means about the slippery slope to sweat pants, etc. I usually wear skirts every day and I work with kids. I JUST bought four pairs of pants that fit me (which does make me happy) but I have always felt that dressing up is better than dressing down....maybe it was the way I was raised. I am so excited to find this board!! I promise to be a regular.
Thanks for planning it I sort of pooped out on it because I got super sick and am still on the mend. I hope to make it though. I really am excited to meet some new people and hopefully make some friends
I think that is a splendid idea. I moved here over a year ago and have yet to make many friends. I find it more difficult in a big city despite always having friends elsewhere. I am friendly, fun, and nice but I just can't go and talk to strangers, you know Anyway, I would be willing to help organize one!
Hey. I am always looking for new friends... I live in Seattle and would be willing to show you around, etc. PM me sometime! My boyfriend is originally from the East Coast (Penn, then NY) and loves it here....I hope you do too!
