1  REUSING/RECYCLING/RECRAFTING / What the heck can I do with THIS? / Plastic sticky tape rolls on: July 27, 2012 01:52:58 AM
So I've been doing street marketing (ie. putting up posters in the streets) and I use up a lot of sticky tape. As such, I've been trying to come up with uses for all the plastic sticky tape reels I end up with (maybe 6 in a day about once a week). They're just white plastic, about 3.5cm in diameter. Has anyone got any suggestions for things I can do with them instead of throwing them out?
2  MORE ART, LESS CRAFT / More Art, Less Craft: Completed Works / Life's but a walking shadow - drawing on: October 16, 2008 06:45:54 AM
I made this for a Shakespeare inspired art competition. I drew it in pen then inked it in photoshop. There was a list of quotes to choose from, I chose "Life's but a walking shadow". It was also inspired by me mishearing some song lyrics as "my shadow won" instead of just "my shadow", lol.

I orginally planned for it to go the other way around, but I figured it worked better this way, so now the comets and slightly more than half of the drippy bits are going upwards in the black and white section.

Anywho, there's a people's choice prize so if you like it, it would be super cool if you voted for me Cheesy
Just follow the link and click on the vote button, if that doesn't work search for smelsmin in the gallery.

3  MORE ART, LESS CRAFT / More Art, Less Craft: Completed Works / Seagull catcher and other drawings + a painting on: July 06, 2008 05:08:13 AM
We had to do a painting for art called "Light and Life" or something, I'm not sure how that relates to my painting, but oh well.

Then I used the character again when my brother said something about catching seagulls while we were on holidays

Then I drew this one without planning enything, but I like how it turned out

Then on the fourth of July this year, I did this one, upon realising that people were all like "yay, foruth of July" in America and I was all like "just chillin', woo".

4  JEWELRY AND TRINKETS / Beads: Completed Projects / Crystal Chips and Polymer clay on: June 09, 2008 06:33:29 AM
A couple of necklaces and some bracelets I've made. I'm liking crystal chips with polymer clay beads at the moment.

The top right is just unakite, which is a lovely stone, below is sodalite and rose quartz with blue seed beads, then sunstone with bugle and seed beads.
The blue necklace is seed beads, dyed crystal and some glass beads. The purple has a t-rex charm that used to be an earring but I attached it to a clip so I can clip it to different necklaces.
5  POTTERY, CERAMICS, POLYMER CLAY / Polymer Clay: Completed Projects / Beads - Ladybugs and the such on: June 09, 2008 06:18:36 AM
Some beads I made. The thing to the left of the bugs is a gnome, the pink thing is a dinosaur (it's meant to be a t-rex and it looks a bit strange), the yellow things are a teapot and teacup. The duck ring is way too big because I thought the clay would shrink more. I used seed beads for the spots and eyes on the ladybugs.

Sorry for the out of focusness.
6  Archive of Past Craftster Challenge Entries / CHALLENGE 19 ENTRIES / The Spider Princess! on: July 04, 2007 11:05:53 PM
So upon pondering what I could make for the challenge, I realised it was indeed the 5th of July! But lucky for me, I live in Australia so I had time to make something. So I got out some wire, pliers and a comb...

By itself:

With a spider earring (the spider was inspired by a tutorial that was posted here on Craftster):

On the head of the spider princess, who wears sunglasses when she must leave her royal cave and venture to the realms of the internet (it appears another spider has joined in on the fun of the photoshoot Tongue):

Other earrings can be used too:

Or not Tongue
7  CROCHET / Crochet: Completed Projects / Rainbow hat and camera cosy + Shroom! (6 pics) on: June 25, 2007 10:12:39 PM
I learnt to crochet some time last year, at 1am or something (except that I was doing slip stitch instead of single because my instructions were unclear Tongue) so here are some things I've made (mostly at school during lunch and when watching videos in class and whatnot).

My rainbow hat, I made it a bit too big and I don't really like the pink at the top. I made it to use up the yarn I had from a learn to crochet kit I had, but I still have some of it.
Please excuse my odd attempt at hiding my identity Tongue

A camera case, also rainbow, modelled by my bear

The shroom from crochetme, made with speckled yarn (I made this last year when I figured out how to increase and decrease)

And a purple alien
8  OCCASIONS AND HOLIDAYS / Party Planning / Teddy bear's picnic- 14th Birthday on: March 16, 2007 12:39:31 AM
I'm having a party next Sunday, it's gong to be a teddy bear's picnic. I'm trying to think of some activities that me and my friends could do. I've tried looking it up on the internet, but I'm turning 14, so most of the stuff I've found doesn't sound like it'll work.

So far, I've decided that we'll play twister, a variation of pin the tail on the donkey and we'll watch Tomb Raider. I the weather is good, we'll also go to the park and play bocce (lawn bowls) and whatever else we can do at the park.

Does anyone have any ideas for teddy bear themed games or activities?

Oh, and I'm considering asking people to come in disguise.
9  KNITTING / Knitting: Completed Projects / Easy garter stitch scarves on: December 22, 2006 04:24:20 PM
Well, I can't really knit, except for garter stitch, so I've made a few simple scarves, here are two of them:

A rainbow and blue irregularly striped scarf made with fuzzy eyelash yarn

My first knitted human sized scarf- mostly acrylic, with some wool.
10  TOYS, DOLLS AND PLAYTHINGS / Toys, Dolls and Playthings: Completed Projects / Teddy Clothes! Actually has pic/s now! Gasp! on: November 17, 2005 01:42:08 AM
Ok...well, at my school, me and 2-3 (one only brings theirs sometimes) people bring our teddys/bunny to school. Me and my friend Yunsi make clothes for our bears, and since I have a picture of them, I figured I'd post.

But, unfortunately, I can't get the picture to save, so in the mean time post your own pics of teddy clothes...

Hahar, I have figured out how to save the picture and everything!

My bear is on the left and my friend Yunsi's is on the right.

Does anybody want to ost their own teddy clothes?
