Hi! Ok, so I'm thinking of getting one of the new Pfaff models, the ClassicStyles Home 2029. I tried it out and I really love how smoothly it sews. Does anyone have this machine and if so, any comments/reviews? Any feedback would be greatly appreciated!
Is anyone working on the Birch shawl from Rowan 34?
I just started a week ago and have made a lot of headway
This is my first big project with lace and while it was hard to get used to, I'm suprised how easy the pattern reapeats are. And kidsilk haze is just fabulous to work with.
Heres my latest FO, the shawl collared sweater from the Debbie Blliss cotton cashmere book.
It took forever, but the recipient loves it. The cotton cashmere was nice to work with; it had the stitch definition of cotton but it wasn't as heavy and stiff as pure cotton. It was okay, but I don't think I'll use it again.
Yay! I now have a pink chibi! So I was at this little mom and pop craft store and happened to wander onto the knitting aisle. Another woman there was shoving like a bajillion of the green chibis in her basket which kind of reminded me of my wanting a chibi. But of course, she had taken them all. So I asked the woman at the counter if she had any left in the back and she went back to look for me and what did she come back with other than a
PINK
chibi. Its packaging was a little rumpled and dusty but it was a pink chibi none the less. It was actually so funny because she apologized to me saying that it was just an odd one in the back and offered to give me a discount. On a pink chibi! So now I'm the proud owner of a 2 dollar pink chibi.
I was wondering if anyone can tell me the name of this stitch pattern or perhaps point me in some direction of how to decipher it. To me it looks like its some cables with yarn overs and seed stitch ribbing on the side.
Ok, so my local library has tons of fabulous knitting pattern books. They have vintage, new, traditional, funky, everything my little knitting heart desires. But, I have a question. I have used a couple patterns from the books but I am a really slow knitter so I renewed the book but I could renew the book multiple times and I wasnt sure if i was allowed to copy the pattern from the book. I ended up just returning it and then re-checking it out, which was a big pain the the patootie. I was just wondering, in the future, can i copy patterns out of library books?? Any comments or suggestions would be greatly appriciated! Thanks!
