212  KNITTING / Knitting: Completed Projects / Prettyful Flower Washcloth and Pillow on: September 25, 2005 10:58:29 AM

I made this pretty flower washcloth from a pattern from a book called Weekend Knitting by Melanie Falick. She described the way you knit it as reverse bloom style. First you knit the five petals with gradual increases from the bottom in, then you connect them and knit them in the round, with gradual decreases, to the middle.

I used Lion Brand Microspun and used like 5/8 of a skein. (An acrylic yarn that absorbs water, yay!)

I also made a pillow with this pattern.

I sewed two washcloths together and stuffed it. I used cheap Red Heart Acrylic yarn.

214  KNITTING / Knitting: Discussion and Questions / Me Too on: September 24, 2005 04:01:08 PM
I was wondering if there were any other kids on the boards cuz if there weren't I wouldn't say I was... But I am! I'm 11 years old and yes, I am so young to be making all the stuff I made that's not just garter stitch scarves. But thanks people!

These are mine that I made for my bro with Bernat Camoflage Yarn. I used garter stitch.
217  KNITTING / Knitting: Completed Projects / Camo Set on: September 24, 2005 10:16:35 AM
I made this camo set for my bro:
Stupid Camera Quality!

I made these camo mitts using girlypirate's pattern http://www.craftster.org/forum/index.php?topic=10620.0

And I made the hat with this pattern from a book called Kid's Kntting by Melanie Falick:

CO 34 stitches in MC. Garter Stitch 9 in. BO. Set aside.
Repeat in color 2.
Sew two halves together w/overcast st. Sew side edges then front.
Make tassel in each color and attatch to opposite top side of hat.

That's about it. I used Bernat Camoflage (cheap acrylic yarn) and size 8 needles for the mitts & size 11 for the hat.

I changed the pics. Turns out freewebs doesn't allow hotlinking. They should work now!
