I want to go to a summer fashion design program but, I don't have the money and my parent make to much to qualify for financial aid, so I am going to apply for a merit scholarship. It said to attach slides to my registration papers. Does anyone know what slides are? I know its supposed to be my designs and stuff, but what exactly is a slide? (also I hope I posted this in the right place, sry if I didnt)

5  CLOTHING / Clothing: Discussion and Questions / Summer Fashion design classes on: January 31, 2006 11:33:07 PM
Next year I will be a junior in highschool (and I might graduate then too, i haven't decided..I am homeschooling and have the option to do 2 years in 1 year!!) and right now I am seriously considering either going into fashion design or theatrical costuming. This summer I really wanted to take some sort of program for highschoolers at a fashion college or wherever with a pretty good reputation for their program (I don't want to take something from my community colleges or local colleges) however I am not having very much luck.. either places want to charge out the a$$ or they only accept "in state" highschoolers... does anyone have any ideas as to a reputable school that offers a summer program for highschoolers? It can be anywhere in USA or Canada. I hope this isn't too long.... Thanks for replies!!
6  MISCELLANEOUS TOPICS / Discussion and Questions / COSTUME COLLEGE 2006 on: January 24, 2006 09:40:47 PM
I don't know if anyone from crafster is going to be going to the costumer's guild west's costume college this year but I REALLY wanted to go and I was saving up money to buy my membership and I checked the site today and it said the memberships were sold out and that there is no waiting list, so I figured that I would post on crafster to see if anyone has bought a membership that cant go any more and would possibly be willing to sell it to me! please PLEASE just pm if you have a membership that you don't want or don't need or anything because I REALLY want to go and would eat to buy it from you! thanks for reading!
7  CLOTHING / Clothing: Discussion and Questions / help! Duct tape dress form on: January 12, 2006 09:19:25 PM
I was so excited, I went to the store and bought everything I needed for my duct tape double then my mom started trying to wrap me, it didn't work out so well so she stopped and I started wrapping myself, it was working A LOT better than when she was doing it. But I looked in the mirror and realized that I had completely butchered my figure??? so I got very frustrated and cut everything off. If anyone knows how to keep this from happening or if you have any tips or any other ideas for a low cost accurate dress form please, please let me know!
