My girls love dresses so that's what I always make (I actually have an outfit to photograph for LaRue, my little girl, that includes leggings and she is telling me she doesn't want to wear it because she hates pants). Here are a bunch of them that I have made within the past few months.
This is an A-line style dress with a ruffle on the bodice and 3 buttons going down it. I made this with gray organic 100% cotton jersey.
A crossover dress made from Baby Nay fabric I found last summer at Hancocks and a pink with white dots.
Another crossover dress (I love these because they look cute, but are totally comfortable). This one is made from an aqua organic 100% cotton jersey fabric. I put 2 gray buttons on the neck binding.
Tie front dress with a pleated front and two pink buttons at the top of the pleat, made from a chandelier fabric. I fell in love with this fabric from the moment I saw it, I love the chandlier design and the colors.
Lap tee dress made from a cotton knit with Euro flowers and binded with a pale lime green floral knit.
Chick dress with princess seams. I saw this fabric in a big pile on the ground in Downtown LA. I thought it was so cute and I love the drab colors. I made this dress with princess seams so it's fitted in the chest and waist then flares out at the hem. I put in pockets and added some yellow buttons.
Another princess seamed dress, but this one is a little different because there is gathering at the waist on the sides. I used a gray organic cotton and french terry fabric and added orange buttons. I think the buttons give the dress a bit of a military look.
