3  CROCHET / Crochet: Discussion and Questions / where to find a crochet pattern for a drape cardigan on: December 19, 2009 01:33:04 PM
Hi everybody

I've been scouring the web and craftster, but haven't found what I have in mind. I really would like to crochet an open draped cardigan that's so popular right now, but i can't seem to find one. does anybody know where i could find a free pattern for it? thanks a bunch!

Here's what I mean:

4  CRAFTY BUSINESS ADVICE / Selling Crafts on Etsy.com / does the type of yarn make a difference? on: December 18, 2009 07:22:48 PM
for people selling yarn items (knitted or crocheted or what have you):

do you find there is a difference in people wanting to buy your items if you use home-made yarn instead of store-bought? i'm not saying you have to make your own yarn persay, but maybe purchase it from someone who specializes in making their own yarn. (i'm sorry if this is confusing)
5  CROCHET / Crochet: Discussion and Questions / boxing glove mitten help/ideas? on: December 15, 2009 12:32:28 AM
So, my boyfriend is a muay thai fighter and has been begging me to make him some boxing glove mittens for the winter.

I just can't decide whether I can take a normal crochet mitten pattern and just modify it to look like a boxing glove (the TITLE/EVERLAST/ETC in black with a white tag on the wrist part etc etc), or that I need to find/figure-out-how-to-make a more "spot-on" looking glove...in which I have no idea how to go about doing so, although i imagine there to be more "padding" or something.

what do you guys think? would it be acceptable to just use a regular crochet mitten pattern? or would i be forever be known as the girlfriend that failed?

any ideas/past experiences/thoughts are well appreciated!
6  PAPER CRAFTS, SCRAPBOOKING & ATCs (ARTIST TRADING CARDS) / Paper Crafts: Completed Projects: Reconstructed / Re: Just another 52 Reasons/Things Book! (kind of pic heavy) on: June 25, 2009 02:32:25 PM
Aww thanks!

And Bonster - I only covered both the front and the back with paper for the cover and the back. I got lucky when I went to buy cards, I found these special edition cards with a white and black background instead of the usual red/blue. And yeah, the holes are where I put the crochet chain through, on both the top and bottom holes, to make like a little book. Cheesy
