wow, super idea!!  and the idea of putting garbage bag on is great as well...i'm not good with understanding your design of how to rivet it, it sounds technical, yet if you could post pics of what you mean, that would be awesome for the non-technicals like me...woohoo!
3  JEWELRY AND TRINKETS / Beads: Discussion and Questions / anyone here into a beadalong section? on: January 19, 2006 09:22:32 AM
Hey there,
i posted this a wee while ago and it wasn't understood by the mod, so she had transferred my post into another section of crafster, background aside, i'm into having a beadalong section for BEADS, like the sowing section has a sewalong section, I think it would be lots of fun to share bead patterns and see what people come up with...
Whaddaya think?
All the best,
gdrchickita

Hi y'all, hope this is the right place, but the bookmark button doesn't work for me, it says that when crafster has moved to a new server early december it'll work again, am i the only one?
also i pmd leah about this, but i guess it's better here, but i was wondering if there was a timeline rotation for the featured projects column, it seems that these ones have been there a long time...my 2 cents!!  Keep up the great work Smiley

8  JEWELRY AND TRINKETS / Beads: Discussion and Questions / Re: Non-Jewelry Projects on: November 14, 2005 11:53:23 PM
for non-jewlery bead projects i would suggest:

take a string, put all types of transparent beads on it, different colours, etc.. and then they are hanged in front of a window and they reflect light, these are fun for home decorations and also as gifts

in the same vein make a curtain of beads, same idea as above, except make lots of strings and with plastic or light beads and attach to a piece of wood or string that can be fastened.

use seed beads or such to make a beautiful picture by gluing them on a pattern
makes a nice card

sow unto clothing that you can give away as a gift or wear yourself..

if you know peyote stitch, bead around objects to give away(vases, lighters, glasses, etc...)

make beaded animals to give away(look on crafster to find links)

that's all i can think of for now....
