1  CLOTHING / Clothing: Completed Projects: General / The jacket that became a sweater. on: September 21, 2005 02:43:36 AM
FINALLY I figured out how to construct the Yoji Yamamoto jacket.  Well, sort of--I improvised where I had no freaking clue.  And it's a sweater instead of a jacket too, I suppose.  But it ended up just fine.  The fine details were lost, however, since I used a sweater knit.  I still like it.  DO YOU? Haha.

2  CLOTHING / Clothing: Completed Projects: General / The heartiest shirt in the whole world. on: September 19, 2005 01:09:48 AM
From the construction to the fabric choice, this shirt is rugged.  Unnecessarily so.  Some time I think I wanna do a tie under the bust or something to that effect so it wears less like a pillow case and more like a slightly more fitted shirt.

3  CLOTHING / Clothing: Discussion and Questions / Kimono-style sleeves make me insane. on: September 18, 2005 05:14:46 PM
So, I'm doing a project for class.  The project was to find a pattern with kimono-style sleeves (where the body and sleeve are the same piece) and construct it.  I know I need to make notches under the arms at the seam allowance to fix the problem but I don't know how to finish notched seams.  I don't have a serger so that's out of the question, so how ought I go about this?

If this isn't clear enough, tell me and I"ll post pictures.  Thanks!
