I scored these babies at a garage sale...

They had been cut already, but luckily the previous pattern-user was my size.

Too late to join?

4  Hand Silk-Screened T-shirts For Music Fest in Screen Printing: Completed Projects by saxifrage on: February 04, 2008 12:30:13 PM
These are pretty old but I thought I'd post 'em anyway. I printed these back in July of 2006 for a little music festival some friends and I put on.

The design really isn't that fuzzy-lookin', I swear...

The HUGE text says "WU & You Festival". We named it after the local coffeehouse, Wired and Unplugged (W&U, get it?) It was a charity thing -- half the proceeds went to the aforementioned coffeehouse (hence the name) and half went to the local Boys and Girls Club. And the text in the little circle is the list of performers -- Sean Knox, The Senate, Rory Corbin and the Salmon Claws, and Lost Autumn Gypsy. "and", "the", and "claws" kinda got the shaft, but hey, we were hand-screening these babies -- no press or anything. I based the design off of the poster art by Celia Baker (a mighty rad lady). So with that...

Support your local independant music, peeps! And coffee shops!

5  First Project Post, Yo -- Felted Bag in Knitting: Completed Projects by saxifrage on: February 04, 2008 11:16:10 AM
Hello there! I finally bothered to take pictures of some of the stuff I've made and thought I'd post some of it here. So i present you with...

A FELTED BAG. Note the little buttons...

It's made from Cascade Eco-Wool, and based off of the messenger bag pattern in Knitting For Peace.

I made these buttons myself using a friend's handy-dandy button making machine. I used real birch bark (given to me by my friend's freakishly adorable son) and some illustrations from an old book. I'm a bit of a button-making addict, so I'm always looking from places (or people) to stick them.

...And that's that!
