11  Hmmm Cupcakes! in Needlework: Completed Projects by Beetastic on: June 25, 2008 04:23:42 PM
I love cupcakes and when I found this fabric I had to buy it and then it just sat around for 3 months not being used so I made this cupcake from looking at one of the cupcakes on the fabric and drawing it larger so I could put it on my towel.

This was also my chance to try out my new finca pearl cotton size 8 and 12.  So what do you think?

Here is Antarcticraft's patch.  She said she loves popcorn so here is some hot buttered popcorn.  The yellow is tinted with crayon since I really did not want to do the whole thing in satin stitch.

Hope you like it.

13  Re: Finishing off a tote bag... in Needlework: Discussion and Questions by Beetastic on: June 03, 2008 03:03:40 PM
Have you thought about adding a fabric lining?  I have done it on several totes it saves the back and very easy to do.  Here is an example of one I have done.

Hope that helps.  Let us know what you end up doing.

I finished doo_leroux's towel and will be on its way home tomorrow.

Here is what I embroidered on Chelleyf's towel.  I sent this out last week and just was a bit lazy posting the picture. Chelleyf I hope you like it.

Amy, those birds are great and I so agree the eyelashes make it a girl always.  I really need to get the craft pad now.

I finished up TAOJ's pillow for her daughter.  I saw this cute kitty and had to make it.  I do believe that my cat paprika dresses like this when we are not at home and has tea with our dog copper.  I still have not found her lace collar but I am sure I will soon.

TAOJ I hope your daughter likes her pillow.

18  Partridge Tea Towel in Needlework: Completed Projects by Beetastic on: March 29, 2008 08:17:03 PM
I posted this pattern over on flickr http://www.flickr.com/photos/beetasticfinds/2365124945/ and had that Partridge family song in my head so I had to embroider it to try and get it out of my head.  I went a little color crazy but I love it.

I was able to use 4 new stitches that I had not done before.

I am shipping itsinmynature's towel to to doo_leroux today.

She wanted a bird/nature theme this is one of my vintage patterns.
Please pardon the wrinkles I did not have time to iron it before I sent it.

I am really happy with the bird so here is a close-up of the birdy.

I hope you like it itsinmynature.
