11  JEWELRY AND TRINKETS / Beads: Completed Projects / Neptune's Eye on: March 20, 2008 09:45:21 AM

This is just freeform. I like it but I envisioned more and didn't know how to get from vision to production so I wound up with this LOL
12  JEWELRY AND TRINKETS / Beads: Discussion and Questions / Re: Bead Sale is killing my pocket book. on: March 09, 2008 07:29:21 PM
Heh, I did this with yarn when Hancock's closed. I rationalized that there would be no other chance to buy this yarn in the future since the store would no longer be here (and the closest craft store, otherwise, is 100 miles away). I visited them three weeks in a row, systematically buying out different colors and styles of yarn Tongue

I did get almost 1000. worth of yarn for about 250., so....

Absolutely beautiful work--the tutorial is a lovely bonus, thank you!!!
14  JEWELRY AND TRINKETS / Beads: Completed Projects / Re: Delta bracelet on: January 05, 2008 09:51:59 AM
I did make a metal one using gunmetal beads--I need to take a picture of it. I also modified the pattern for that one. But metal beads are way too expensive for my budget so I used glass for this one. It was a very easy pattern albeit time-consuming.

Thanks for the kind comments Smiley

Using the pattern for the metal bead bangle in a recent Bead and Button, I altered the pattern some to come up with this bracelet. For those that don't know, this is a sorority comprised of mostly educators, IIRC. At any rate, it's a gift for one of the teachers that works for me. Unfortunately, I made it too big for her so I am now in the process of adding another layer of the mesh INSIDE the bracelet. I will go halfway around and let her try it on again.

The white banding you see to the left and right goes all the way around the back of the bracelet. It is the same row as the lettering.

I replaced some of the pix above with slightly better ones. Here's another one:

Thank you Smiley
Most of the stuff is inspired or taken from past issues of Bead and Button. I changed some things to suit either my own taste or my supplies LOL I'm gonna retake some of those pictures and see if I can't improve on them.

The second sweater is from a pattern booklet by Nashua, IIRC.
