1  KNITTING / Knitting: Completed Projects / Anouk Pinafore from Knitty on: April 06, 2006 11:34:46 AM
My friend Lizzy and I decided to try Anouk, but in a different color combo than the one on Knitty - http://knitty.com/ISSUEspring04/PATTanouk.html.

Here's the finished product, done in Reynolds Signature -

And here's my friend Matt modeling -

Sorry for the blurry photos, let me know what you think!  It was my first time trying out intarsia.
2  KNITTING / Knitting: Completed Projects / Garter Square Baby Blanket on: April 06, 2006 11:12:58 AM
I wanted to make a very special blanket for a friend's new baby (she'd been trying to have one for years!) so I turned to Debbie Bliss, of course!  I love her designs and yarn!  I picked the garter squares blanket from Baby Knits for Beginners
http://www.amazon.com/gp/product/1570762481/sr=8-3/qid=1144346660/ref=pd_bbs_3/103-7519812-7583853?%5Fencoding=UTF8
I used 7 colors, instead of the 5 called for in the pattern, because I wanted a very colorful blanket.

Here's my cat Loki helping me piece all the little squares together -

And here's the finished product -

Not a difficult project at all (except for all the weaving) and fun for both beginners and intermediate folks, I think.  Let me know what you think!
