1  KNITTING / Knitting: Completed Projects / Re: Wedding Gift and Garter (garter pattern link added) on: July 26, 2006 02:54:27 PM
Amazing.  Simply amazing.   Shocked  I assume you had it on more than one circular needle?  I can't imagine all of that fitting comfortably on even a 40"!  I loved that you used Eco Wool, it's such a beautiful yarn.  It must have taken you a million skeins, though!!
2  KNITTING / Knitting: Completed Projects / Re: Garter Square Baby Blanket on: April 10, 2006 06:39:30 AM
Thanks, HotRock.  I sat down and did it in a day, because I knew if I stopped weaving for even a second I would never get it done!

EmergencyExit - i was actually thinking of doing something similar for an adult blanket or throw, maybe using bulky yarn and much bigger squares?  i thought that would be kinda cute.

Why have i never even thought about knitting a baby blanket before?! Well, thanks to you I'm now knitting on the second square (just a few more to go...), and thanks to you there is fear in my boyfriends eyes...hehe

Oh, that's funny.  Ha ha, I like the idea of a baby blanket being used to strike fear into someone's heart!

And here's my friend Matt modeling -

He's cute.  Can I keep him?  Can I?  Can I?

Sorry, he's taken!

But he is wicked cute, isn't he?

He's my "man" of honor when I get married this November.

LOVE it!  This is one of those things that you look at and say, ok, which of my crazy friends would appreciate that the most? Wink  It's great.

Oh, my gosh, that's beautiful!  Everywhere I look, I see things that make me want to try lace knitting!  It must be spring in the air!
9  KNITTING / Knitting: Completed Projects / Re: My First Gloves! on: April 06, 2006 12:55:52 PM
WOW!  Great job!  I'm sure my first pair of gloves looked NOT AT ALL as nice as those!  Love the pattern.

Those colors really suit him!  Wink (How cute of him to pose with it for you.)

Looks great! The little girl who gets that will look just darling wearing it.

Thanks, I thought he looked darling! he's very pro-knitting, which is great - it almost looks like he wants one in his size!

It's a little big for her right now, but I wanted her to grow into it - you don't want to do all that seed stitch just to have someone only be able to wear it for a week Wink
