So I've been wanting a shirt to wear with this black tie w/ white pinstripes that I have (used to be my mum's) but I didn't have any that were cool enough to match it.  I was digging through my brothers' old clothes, once again, and found this white pinstripe shirt that had a weird fit to it.  It's been sitting in my room, waiting to be fixed but I didn't have a sewing machine until about 3 days ago!

so, I added a bit of shaping and made the fit better, shortened the sleeves, and now it is wearable.

Oh, and I added a felt heart on the pocket.  (btw, the pocket is on my left boob.)


this was my first ever sewing-machine project (minus the apron i made back in grade 8 in home ec.)

one day, a few months ago, a girl who isn't in brownies anymore was looking through her closet.
look what she found! (eww. there're glue stains at the bottom)


suddenly, she had an idea, and a pair of scissors, needles, thread, and some felt and badges later, this is what she came up with:

woohoo i finished mine last night.
(that's supposed to be a hot pink color, don't know why it turned out red-orange like)



BUT i need to do a lining.  my gauge was way off so i just worked two rows of the intarsia instead of three, and did three repeats instead of four.

and for a personal touch, i replaced one of the skulls w/ a heart

unfortunately though i made it with some crappy acrylic yarn i had, so it won't shrink (or will it?)
right now it's pretty damn big.
