A tutorial would be awesome.

That rainbow skirt is awesome. Where did you get that fabric!?

I really like that pattern, and I'm so pleased it's a simplicty, 'cause they're on sale today at JoAnn's for ninety-nine cents. I shall be purchasing probably 10 (the limit, hehe) just 'cause I lurve to stock up when they're cheap.

Your girls are adorable. I especially love that pinkish crossover shirt with the black pants on your youngest.

I can't tell by looking at the pics and I'm unfamilar with that pattern - does the dress have a separate bodice or is it kinda one big piece? It doesn't look like it has a seam from the pics, but you coulda done an amazing job lining up your pattern, hehe.

If it doesn't have one, I might have to buy that pattern - Simplicitys are on for 99 cents today at JoAnn!

Very purdy! I love pink and black together.

So adorable.

I think I might have to do this.

Very interesting way of doing it. I've reduced some of my old band tees as well, but my method was more complicated, and our results look quite similar. I will have to try this seemingly simpler method. Though, I also took out the ribbing around the neck of my shirt and added new ribbing in a color that contrasted around the neck and to the sleeves, which I liked.

I did also have a problem resizing my sleeves, like other people have mentioned.  My original shirt was not big enough to get the sleeves out of the main part, I had to rip the sleeve seam and cut the smaller sleeves out of the bigger ones. It took some weird sleeve-without-shirt trying-on to get it right, but it eventually worked out!
88  CLOTHING / Clothing: Completed Projects: General / Simple (and cheap, yay!) Skirt + Bag on: August 24, 2005 09:54:23 PM
Hi, new to this forum, this here is my first post.

Just made this today, decided to show some pics. Just a really simple patterned skirt, fully lined, with the lacy trim. I picked up the fabric as a remnant, 34 inches, which meant I had to use the width, so I had to make it very straight. It cost me a grand total of 4.93 USD after taxes and everything. And that's with the handbag included. And I still have some remnants of everything, the fabric, lining and lace.

(And I do realize there is a separate subforum for the bags, so if me posting that pic here is a no-no, just tell me!)
