1  PURSES, BAGS, WALLETS / Purses, Bags, Wallets: Completed Projects: Reconstructed / Mermaid Tail Bag (img heavy ^^") on: March 29, 2007 06:11:33 AM
Hi!
So really this is a project I did in college but I like it so I'm posting it here :3 (not to say I don't like my other projects, this one just seemed appropriate)

We had a week for the project and were sent out to buy something from a charity shop and make something else out of it! Simple!
I found a strange childs dress/long top sort of thing with a weird sparkly blue fabric and an old ladys huuuuge sequined top Cheesy
For some reason they reminded me of a mermaid so I made a bag...in the shape of a mermaids tail! We could only use the materials we had though, not like buy anything new so I couldn't add a zip (which is highly annoying because you can't close it), I might still do that later now it's been assessed ^^

I'm afraid I can't find any pics of the clothes before except for this one were I had already taken it apart

Anyways here's the bag (please excuse the messy room and me xD)

2  TOYS, DOLLS AND PLAYTHINGS / Toys, Dolls and Playthings: Completed Projects / Mousy the cat ^^ on: December 27, 2005 07:15:23 AM
Hiya ^^

Well my Mum has started to collect these weird looking cats, she loves the designs but they are quite expensive, and because i coulnd't affort to buy one, I decide to make one for Christmas ^^

So this is Mousy! I based her on the brown cat you see in the second picture, but she is a little different ^^" She's got appliqued leather pawpads and her head is bigger. She looks a little strange, but it all adds to the character and my Mum absolutely adores her!  Grin

Mousy in all her strange glory xD She's quite big.. about 16 inches?

Mousy with her new friends ^^ ( the other two cats are bought ones)
3  CLOTHING / Clothing: Completed Projects: General / -->TUTORIAL<-- Baby Bear and Kitty Hat (1st post ^^) on: October 05, 2005 04:54:41 AM
Hello!
This is my first post here although, like many others I've been lurking for a while ;3
Last year I was inspired by all the cute fleece hats that seemed to be popping up in the internet so I made my own!

That was the result, I wear it around the house alot but so far I've chickend out wearing it outside...>.>""
So that was last year
and a few weeks ago some friends our family had a baby, and I offered to make a hat ^^ It's a girl obviously and I think the hat turned out really cute!

It's lined, made from pink and white Polar Fleece with felt appliqued face and hearts, what do you think? :3

I'm sorry the fotos are not so good...my camera doesn't seem to like taking close ups ;___;

I'm sorry it took so long, but I finally made a tutorial (it's a bit big sorry!)! I hope it's readable and understandable, if something isn't clear just ask! ^^ I've also got a picture of the baby wearing the hat ( it fitted perfectly <3 ) so I'll have to try to scan that soon!
Have fun with the tutorial and please post your results if you should use it! <3
