1  Re: We Love Jenny Tea Towel in Sublime Stitching Embroidery by Sarahland on: March 28, 2008 12:35:24 AM
Here's my contribution.  It was a privilege to be amongst such inspiring work.  Reminds me I've got to set down my knitting and pick up my embroidery hoop!

2  Beaded knit necklace in Knitting: Completed Projects by Sarahland on: August 20, 2007 09:09:35 AM
I made this using the "Harry Winston Has Nothing On Me" pattern from Lily Chin's book "Knit and Crochet with Beads".  The original pattern called for it be be knit with silk on 000 size needles with teeny beads but I used what I had on hand and did mine with crochet cotton, size 6 seed beads and US 1 needles.  I really love the way it turned out.  Thanks for looking!

3  A Little Nautie Love in Knitting: Completed Projects by Sarahland on: August 16, 2007 09:14:24 AM
I made the aqua/grey nautie last week but he looked a bit lonely so I just had to make him a friend.

Last night, I caught them touching tentacles on the couch and my inner paparazzo made me snap a pic.

4  Boucle slipper socks in Knitting: Completed Projects by Sarahland on: July 30, 2007 06:38:26 PM
So I've been sitting with a whole bunch of boucle in my stash that was given to me and I've had no idea what to do with it.  So what better to do in July than make really warm, fuzzy socks!  It is my first attempt at socks and while the boucle hides any mistakes it was also kind of a pain to use on DPNs.

And those are the feet of a large stuffed moose.

5  Re: projects from jess hutchison's booklet in Knitting: Completed Projects by Sarahland on: July 21, 2007 07:44:33 PM
I am stashbusting all my random bits of yarn before I buy anything new so this guy was whipped up in 2 nights in front of the tv.  He is working his way through the jungle of plants that desperately need watering.

6  Re: Your Ideal Tea-Towel? in Sublime Stitching Embroidery by Sarahland on: March 21, 2007 09:34:54 AM
And here's my contribution!

And a shot of stops 1 & 2.

I took the sushi patterns as my freebie but after much deliberating I decided on the veggies since they are one of my favorite patterns. I just love that happy dancing apple!

All of my comments are in the package but I have to say the towel was really nice to embroider on, nice even seams and a good thickness.  When you fold the towel between the two embroidered items the other piece doesn't come on through like on thinner fabric.

I'll be stopping by the post office after work so the next person should get it soon!

9  Re: beaded wire bracelets - with tutorial!! in Beads: Completed Projects by Sarahland on: August 25, 2006 04:42:56 PM
Here's my take on this bracelet.  I used 18 gauge wire but I think it was soft since it seems highly flexible and a bit woggidy.  But I love it all the same.  Thanks for the tutorial!
