I have made lollipops from scratch in a plastic mold, they pop out when you freeze them.  I have some plastic shot glasses I think I experiment...

I've started making this mat, I got solid rubber liner but I bought some exterior clear silicone.  The tube said excellent adhesive.  I hope it works!

I got another friend to make them placemats for the picnic table and a brightly colored clothespin bag for the clothesline.  I even handpainted clothespins for them.  It looked so great, they threw a party just so they'd have an excuse to use their new backyard.

Maybe you could make your parents a picnic set with "outdoor" dishes, placemats, etc

Ohh I got it!! Well you got it!!  A picnic set is perfect, it's fall now but I can get some plates and paint them, and a cute tray to match, some tumblers and cloth napkins oh and placemats.  I could even put it in a picnic basket or plastic container (decorated of course) for storage.  Best of all now that it's fall all picnic stuff is on sale!!

Thank you, thank you.

You can usually pick up records for 50 cents each at thrift stores, I made record bowls for some of my college friends.  It's great as a catch all bowl for keys. sunglasses etc...

Thanks for the suggestions, I would love to send them to the spa, my budget is a little tight and with the fuel prices on the rise it just got tighter!!  I do like the idea of cleanning for them though.
150  OCCASIONS AND HOLIDAYS / Misc. Gift Idea Brain Blockage / Parents helped out big time!! on: August 31, 2005 07:19:26 AM
I just separated from my husband and moved out on my own, it was a good separation and my ex and I are still really good friends.  My parents have helped me paint my new place (my kitchen is orange!!) and the paid for the paint.  Then they bought me groceries, kitchen stuff area rug etc... they spent about $400.  My parents aren't wealthy and work hard for their money and won't accept cash in return.

My parents love spending time together, they love their yard.  My mom is going through a tough time, as her family is...well crazy, and are not talking to her.
Help me make something special please.
