1  OCCASIONS AND HOLIDAYS / Weddings and Bridal Showers / Opinion needed for wedding announcement on: May 15, 2007 07:02:10 AM
I need some help on deciding what to do for my wedding announcements.  We are getting married in Vegas in August.  Everyone that's coming is already said they were coming.  (We live in Atlanta so most of the travel plans are made.) We are going to have a reception back home sometime in September/October (no specific date yet).  Should I send out announcements now and say that reception invites will come later? Or wait until after we are married to send out the announcements?  I don't know what etiquette or protocol is for this or if it really matters.  PLEASE HELP!!
2  OCCASIONS AND HOLIDAYS / Weddings and Bridal Showers / Announcements for Las Vegas Wedding on: March 05, 2007 09:50:35 AM
We have decided to go to Las Vegas to get married and I'm trying to come up with some cute and funny ideas for the announcements.  Anyone have any ideas?

Thanks
3  KNITTING / Knitting: Discussion and Questions / 2007 Knitting Pattern-a-Day Calendar - Help! on: February 05, 2007 01:51:41 PM
I'm hoping some of you great knitters out there can help me. If any
of you have this calendar, I'm trying to do the Loop Stitch Floral Pin
on January 2nd. I cannot get it. I've been working on it forever and
I had a friend look at it this weekend too. Have any of your done
this one or do you know if there's a mistake in the pattern? I'm in
desperate need of some help. Any ideas, help, pointers, etc will be
greatly appreciated.
Thanks,
Kim

I just need some help brainstorming some ideas. PLEASE!!  Or if anyone has any good pictures of mistletoe that would be appreciated too!

5  OCCASIONS AND HOLIDAYS / Party Planning / Disco theme help! on: April 18, 2006 12:32:11 PM
Hi everyone,
I need some major help.  I've been recruited (actually drafted) to do the decorations for a "disco" party.  I'm usually really good and coming up with ideas but this time I'm drawing a huge blank!!!  They want Saturday Night Live type Disco based decorations.  I'll have a few (about 10) tables to decorate and need some stuff in the room itself.  I'm on a very limited budget.  Can anyone PLEASE help me come up with some ideas!?!?!
Thanks,
Kim
6  KNITTING / Knitting: Discussion and Questions / New to knitting - question on felting on: February 06, 2006 09:28:05 AM
Hi everyone,
I just recently (about a month ago) taught myself how to knit.  I have to say that I am now addicted!!  I want to knit a small purse and felt it.  The question I have is..does it matter if it is in garter/stockinette/etc stitch if I'm going to felt?  Does one stitch felt better than another?  I know this may be a stupid question but I've searched and I can't really find an answer.
Thanks!
7  KNITTING / Knitting: Discussion and Questions / Looking for pattern on: January 06, 2006 02:35:34 PM
Hi everyone
I'm BRAND new to knitting.  I starting teaching myself about a week before Christmas.  I have to say that I'm VERY addicted to it now!!  I've made a few scarfs but now I want to be more ambitious!!  I really want to try to knit a cardigan...a VERY easy cardigan.  Does anyone know where I can find a pattern for a very easy cardigan?  Most of the patterns I've seen look a little too difficult for my beginner status.  If anyone can lead me in a direction I'd really appreciate it!!
Thanks
