1  Re: Going Off to College Gallery~! :) in The Swap Gallery by StookeyDough on: September 07, 2008 04:25:26 PM
I GOT MY PACKAGE!!!

This is me in my dorm with my super soft fingerless gloves on.  Yay!

I also got a resuable and reversable shopping bag.  I already used this at the grocery store!

She also sent me a few extra goodies including a notebook, some tea, a little Aztec pride charmy business and a nice long letter.

Thank you soo much for the package, portmanteaux!  I loved it all and I am very excited to try your tea.

hey guys - had a little family trouble so i haven't been on the computer much.  here goes the huuuuuuuge post of eight  secrets!  (four of which i got today...)

reads:
"I know you hate our Daddy
But you still love me, you tell
Me all the time.
You're only my half-brother but
I thought Of you as more than
that always.
That's why it hurt so much that you
Didn't invite me...
Congrats."
And on the backside:
"And yes thats an actual wedding pic, obtained from MySpace. Sad"

reads:
"I have published Gay Porn on the internet since I was 16!"
back:
"I get women over twice my age telling me how much they enjoy my stories."

reads:  "I can only tell the time if the clock is digital"
back:  "I always wear a digital watch and try desperately to avoid situations where I might have to read a clock.  It's really embarassing, but I've never told anyone."

reads: "I like being mean."

reads:"I'm addicted to swaps!  I just can't stop myself!"

reads:  "Even though I haven't done it for 15 years, I'm still afraid I will wet the bed"

reads:"Home is where your heart is"
Backside:"Even though I'm married and moved out, my home is where my mom lives."

reads:"Clean cut men don't do it for me.  I want a man with tattoos!  (but i've only dated the ink free)

6  Re: postage stamp necklaces... (tutorial added.) in Trinkets and Jewelry: Completed Projects: Reconstructed by StookeyDough on: May 13, 2007 07:32:20 PM
I decided this was the perfect gift for Mother's day, and I somewhat last minute found all the supplies I needed (Who knew there was practically no place to get microscope slides but the internet).  Anyways, here's my finished set:

however i did have one problem... my finished slides seemed to have some gunkyness on them, something burnt and sticky.  It wont come off easily with windex or glass cleaner... is there a way to prevent it for next time?  or get it off?  what is it? here's a picture (see upper right corner of pendent):

7  teal home coming dress with majorly twisty bodice in Clothing: Completed Projects: General by StookeyDough on: October 23, 2006 04:45:43 PM
hi guys!
this was my homecoming dress that i wore on saturday night- i procrastinated on buying a dress for a long time and was short on budget, so a trip to joannes with the 50 percent off fabric coupon was the option.  I used simplicity 4577, but i couldn't figure out the original bodice and just ended up making it up.  i like the halter i did better though!!!  enough talking, here are the pictures:

8  soccer jersey to skirt: inspired by decorated-emergency and yelp in Clothing: Completed Projects: Reconstructed by StookeyDough on: May 14, 2006 09:50:39 PM
well, i was inspired by then and then when it went horribly wrong and horribly short and then i came up with the "genious" idea to just start sewing scraps on at random.  it looks longer in real life, and not so um, revealing, when i wear a shirt that goes down to my waist.  my favorite part though is the bow from the drawstring on the matching shorts.  i might have to try this again, longer and more thought out.

Mine came today, or its just been in my mail box when I've been at my dads!
Thanks, shakes!!
Sorry for the awful pictures, both my sisters and moms cameras were being evil, and mine wasn't charged so I had to use the webcam!
Here's all of it together

And one close up

And close up number 2

And she didn't really post here, unfortunatly I didn't get pictures but I sent her
-A whole bunch of fabric: a bunch pink fleece, lime green bandana bits, a black bandana and some other prints i can't remember
-some beads, puffy ball things, santa beard stuff, stryofoam balls, little top hats, foam and other fun doodads.
-about 3 or 4 sheets of leather
-And a set of oil paints I have never used.

10  My fairy wings- yellow and blue in Completed Projects by StookeyDough on: October 02, 2005 08:11:55 PM

My fairy wings, these took me a while.  I used the most comman of the wing tutorial, they turned out well and I love them.  (They live on my wall next to the sign my sweetie wrote to ask me to homecoming  Wink)
