1  CROCHET / Projects from The Happy Hooker by Debbie Stoller / having issues..re cotton for yeehaw lady on: March 25, 2006 07:38:55 AM
well it seems you cannot buy Lion Brand Lion Cotton (specified to make yeehaw lady) here in canada. I have been EVERYWHERE.

Is there another brand i can use that has the SAME amount that i need?
someone suggested sugar 'n cream (which i would have to order because no where sells it here AGAIN)..but it doesn't come in the right size yardage. (is that a word? LOL)

I want to AVOID having to "tie" two together so i would have enough...I am willing to measure out how much i need from a 1-lb cone...
but...
before i take on the feat...i was wondering if there is another alternative?

Also..(sorry for all the ?'s)
what is the difference bettween a "sport" cotton, a size 10 (or whatever size) "mercerized" cotton and the "worsted" weight cotton i need for this project. can i use any other other then the "worsted" and get the SAME results?

any help would be GREATLY appreciated!!!!

3  CROCHET / Projects from The Happy Hooker by Debbie Stoller / anarchy irony hat pattern on: March 16, 2006 05:43:41 PM
First off..got this AMAZING-WONDERFUL book a few days ago...upon coming home & showing off my NEW book, my teenage son was leafs threw it and prompty announced i was to make him the ANARCHY IRONY HAT..cool by me! I was having a hard time deciding what make first! hehehehe...

So I am going along...following the pattern to a T ..and what do i notice...it goes from:
Rnd 9
to
Rnd 11

Where is Rnd 10?
is it a little typo? or is it like the unlucky floor 13 where it isnt spoken about? *heheheh*

Anyone else have this in thier book?

I am just going to go along with it...without the 10th row and see what happens!

Jennifer
