1  OCCASIONS AND HOLIDAYS / Valentine's Day / Re: Valentine's Ornaments on: February 06, 2017 11:40:51 AM
Eep I love this! I need a driftwood tree! Hmm, the boyfriend's folks live at the coast, maybe I can ask them to keep an eye out for me!

Congrats on your resignation and I wish you much happy crafting in your near future! Smiley

The tree is perfect for my new tiny space. Thanks for encouraging me to get over here and post!

Welcome back!  I've missed you!  How's Marley?  I hope everyone is doing well!  I love the Valentine's Day tree!

Thank you! I've missed Craftster - hoping to get back into the swing of things and start swapping again.

Marley is fantastic, thank you for asking. She's 9 now  Shocked and a total musical theater geek.

Hey, guys! Long time, no craft. I took on PTA president of my kid's school in September and I have had NO TIME for myself or anything crafty since then. What a thankless job. I resigned last week. First, I drank champagne in the tub and then I hightailed it over to JoAnn's to buy some fabric and make something. I fell in love with the striped dish towel looking fabric first and decided I wanted to make some Valentines ornaments for the tree I couldn't bear to take down after Christmas.

They were super easy - I cut out a heart template from paper and then cut a ton of fabric hearts. Stitched them together with embroidery thread and filled them with a tiny bit of polyfill.

What do you think?

I received from Adadian Driftwood today!

Side one, with a beautifully embroidered triquetra.

And side two! I love it and with all of the sachets I've received my drawers smell fantastic!

Glad you guys liked them! I forgot to tell you, they have a mix of lavender, rose petal, marjoram, hops, and mugwort. Standard dream pillow mix, so you could also put them by your bed. This was such a fun swap! I'd love to do another one. I think I'm gonna make myself a few that hang on ribbons for my closet. No reason my drawers should get all the love!
