1  Re: Christmas Stocking Swap Rd. 10 Gallery in The Swap Gallery by dharma_rebel on: December 15, 2014 08:20:44 AM
I just love window stars! That reminds me, that I have a big package of kite paper. That might be fun to do today, while my dd is stuck home sick.
Please forgive that I haven't posted pics of my stocking that I received early last week. My week was filled with meetings and other obligations, and I went out of town for the weekend for a few Christmas parties. My stocking from Beeker is much loved though, because it fits me perfectly.

Although I've grown out of wearing Converse All Stars on a daily basis (I know own a pair of real cowgirl boots) I still own about 30 pair. Now, I have 30 1/2!

I received a ton of beautiful handmade ornaments

Marley's favorite - she says it's the two of us

I especially love the tiny little gourds. Speaking of gourds, I got my very own gourd container!

A festive hat!

Jewels

Chocolate deliciousness! Two of the cocoa reindeer and chocolate spoons have been used. The reindeer food (chex with white chocolate and powdered sugar) and a couple of candy bars have also disappeared. IN MY BELLY!!!
Finally, a group shot of the purchased items, including fun, soft, flannel, a to-go cup, gloves I can leave on while I text, a candle holder, fun straws, gift tags, paper punches, nail decals, recipe cards... all sorts of great goodies!

Thanks so much, Beeker!

I received my package from Onyxnox over the weekend. What you guys can do with paper amazes me!
Group shot

In the interest of saving space, I will only post close ups of tags that haven't been posted yet. For real, though, the detail on these is incredible!

Thanks for such an awesome swap - I cannot wait to wrap my Christmas presents!

Yay! Glad you liked them, rackycoo. I just happened to get yours out of the mailbox today. You must have remembered that I mentioned "Elf" in the sign up thread, because LOOK at these cuties!

I love all the details on these tags - I kinda squeeeed a little when I saw the baby boy tag. So adorable. Check out the tags I got this weekend from kbrison! They're super cute, huh!?

I totally need something like the birdie clothspins from LimeRiot to hang on my mantle to hold the kiddo's art work.
The monsters are the cutest. I never thought about binding a perpetual calendar like that! Duh.
Holy epic embroidery, batman. Do you sleep? And, yeah, I'll never look at dollar store figurines the same again.
Amazing package (as per ususal) from Abeeroad. I love how she and her husband work together so often. Ahhhh, love. I've been ogling her posts of the art nouveau girls on instagram but I have to say I am most jealous of the scissor scarf.

I got my package from Wonderwoman1976 on Thursday, but had to rush out of town for work for a few days. But I finally got some pics taken and I'm here to show off. I asked for some boho jewelry and here is what I got!

Here is the whole shebang. Some crocheted tam hats ("Seahawks colors!" my daughter says. "See who?" says I. I know, blasphemy in Washington state). The navy one fits Marley and the green one fits me! Handspun yarn, several bracelets and a couple pair of earrings, art/envelope journal, and a beautiful mustard colored scarf that had to worn right away.

Close up of the handspun. I'm hoping there is enough to make a cowl out of it. I have to figure out how to meaure how much yarn is there.

closer shot of the jewelry collection

close up of my favorite bracelet with an excellent reminder. I'm always getting anxious and forgetting to breathe.

my other favorite bracelet. I love the paper beads and the tiny little hamsa.

Thanks for swapping with me!

Hey everyone. Sorry I haven't been around commenting all that much, but I have been pinning like a madwoman. I've had a crazy couple months and it feels like the hits just keep on coming, you know? Anyway, crafting has helped keep me sane and wonderwoman1976 asked me to dust off my sewing maching and make her a hobo bag for this swap. Since she doesn't get on here all that much, and I know it is out for delivery, I feel like it's safe for me to post pics. I'm super proud of this bag.

Side one

Side two

The outsides of the bag were made from cloth napkins I scored in the clearance department of World Market. One of them cost me a whopping penny! I wish I had taken better pics of the inside pockets and lining. All those fabrics were vintage pieces out of my stash.

I also send some extras - a zipper pouch made and fairly traded in West Africa that I found at a street fair, and some jewelry supplies.

7  Re: Frugal Living swap-round 6: Dance on Down to Frugal Town! in The Swap Gallery by dharma_rebel on: September 10, 2014 10:53:57 AM
Okay, this bad swapper is going to post pics of the amazingly thoughtful package she received and then get her a$$ to the post office to ship off her late package. So sorry to send so late LB&B and BrandyK. It's been one heck of a week. I'll get you the DCN this afternoon.

First up were 3 (yes, THREE) shopping bags! Which is awesome, because my county outlawed plastic shopping bags and we have to pay anywhere from 5-15cents per paper bag.

There were actually 3 reusable sandwich/snack bags, but one is already in use. And I think the pretty flower thing is a sandwich wrap. At least, that's what it is being used for. They were send with Marley's name on it. She thought you knew it was her birthday last week!  Smiley You totally made her day.

Beautiful silverware roll. This will get a ton of use because I attend homeschool connect with Marley and we eat lunch there twice a week. I'm always packing soups and salads and my silverware ends up in the bottom of my bag, poking holes in it.

Nine, (count 'em) reusable gift bags. I received a bunch in a swap a few years ago and now they are all gone. I hope the people who got them from me pass them on.

Super sweet little purses that Marley tried to claim, but I think we will add a few things to and give them to her sisters for Christmas. The youngest one loves monkeys and the middle one loves pink so these will work perfectly!

Finally, my very favorite is a kitchen wet bag. I have been through two of these already but this one is so well made, I think it will stand up to a lot of abuse. Since I use dishcloths, cloth napkins, unpaper towels, etc the wet bags really take a beating. Plus, it goes perfectly with my orange and turquoise Craftster kitchen. (I would post a pic but the rest of the kitchen is filthy.

Ew, and I just noticed how gross my oven looks.

Thank you so much for being my wonderful and patient swap partner, Brandy. I hope I get partnered with you again so I can spoil you as epically as you spoiled me (don't worry, you get a decent package, but nothing like this).

Marley received her package from Emma (mom2em) on Monday. So sorry for the delay in posting pics.

Super excited. I had a feeling it would be here, and didn't check the mail until AFTER swimming, for fear we wouldn't make it.

Here is a group shot of most of the items. Cool tie-dyed t-shirt, Frozen bookmarks and other cool bookmarks, decorated shoelaces (that have actually become her Frozen freezing powers when she plays Elsa), little purse, decorated M. We took the scavenger hunt to a friend's house on Tuesday. IT WAS SO FUN!!!
Of course, her favorites were the accessories for her mini-American Girl dolls

A bed, pillow and blanket

Sleeping bag and pillow.
I can see now that I got the worst pics of her favorite things. I will try to get some better ones (they are all still sleeping), but if you have some good ones, mom2em, please feel free to post them! Thanks to you and Emma so much. You really made Marley's first craft swap spectacular!
We intended to send out on Tuesday, but for sure today. We are planning our errands around the post office this time.

9  Re: Dreamcatcher Swap in The Swap Gallery by dharma_rebel on: July 12, 2014 09:05:08 PM
My dreamcatcher actually arrived sometime late Thursday, but I had to leave town before my lazy post lady got it to me. It was totally worth the wait though. Check out this gorgeous piece

I am so totally in love with the hand painted fabric feathers. I can't even begin to imagine how much time that took. Some of the streamers are a bit wrinkly from the long trip. Abby, if you have a better pic, please post. Otherwise I'll hang it in the bathroom tomorrow when I take a shower and try to post some better pics soon.
Also, this gorgeous necklace with one more fabric feather. I can't wait to wear this!

I'm already in my jammies otherwise I'd post an action shot. Maybe more pics tomorrow, huh?
Thank  you so much Abbeeroad. I will be stalking you for future swaps!
Can't wait to see what everyone else got...

Whoa. It's been a weird couple of days around here for me. I finally sent today, and I wouldn't check the mailbox until I did, because I just KNEW my package from HSG would be in there. I was right! I came home to a package and a beautiful initial pendant! Thank you so much. The stitching is perfect. I love the ladybug. It really, truly brightened my whole week!
