1  KNITTING / Knitting: Completed Projects / My New Old Bear on: May 08, 2006 04:51:02 PM
Hey all,
I got sick of buying yarn (and tramping all over town to find yarn stores), so I decided to do a thrift store recycle.

Stage 1
Very large $4 thrift store sweater:

Stage 2
Yarn!

Result
Super thick warm scarf.....

.....and teddy bear for my mom for Mother's Day!

The bear pattern was inspired by spyderbaby's Mr.Dangly pattern.

Hope you guys like 'em!
2  TOYS, DOLLS AND PLAYTHINGS / Toys, Dolls and Playthings: Completed Projects / Chocolate monster on: March 24, 2006 11:47:45 PM
This is the chocolate monster that guards the chocolate in my apartment.
Though I must say, he does a pretty terrible job....  Wink

3  KNITTING / Knitting: Completed Projects / Bohemian Hat (very warm!) on: March 24, 2006 06:47:40 PM

Finished this hat a few weeks ago.  Its so extremely warmperfect for the current weather!
I used Patons Wandering Wines yarn on size 9 needles.
4  KNITTING / Knitting: Completed Projects / The everchanging turquoise tube/tank/halter top! (Pattern on Pg.2) on: December 14, 2005 01:46:32 AM
I just finished my first tank (knitted flat)!
The straps are attached with buttons on the inside of the shirt, so they can be removed or changed to make for a different style!

Personally, my fave is the racerback:
