1  MORE ART, LESS CRAFT / More Art, Less Craft: Completed Works / im no pablo picasso, on: January 06, 2007 09:44:16 PM
but today instead of sleeping all day like the original plan, i decided to break in my new watercolor-book! with the thick paper, ya know?

at first i was looking through my old muppet babies coloring book to color with my also-new crayons, when i stumbled upon a picture of skeeter with a big blank computer in front of him!
my first thought was, 'hahahah i should draw myspace on the screen.'

then suddenly the idea dawned upon me to make it 'new age' themed, inspired by two things:
MC Lars's song 'igeneration'. http://profile.myspace.com/index.cfm?fuseaction=user.viewprofile&friendID=2919727
thats his space, even though 'igeneration' isnt on there hahahah.
http://www.sing365.com/music/lyric.nsf/iGeneration-lyrics-MC-Lars-Horris/7C2DAA1A02711ABD48256EED000C0E45
those are the lyrics.
i was also inspired by TIME magazine awarding all of us person of the year :] in their article they mentioned you tube and such.

sooo i made this!
i used i think oil paints? magazines, scissors, and my printer.

sorry for the lame phone pictures by the way, my cameras dead. >:[

full shot. glare, sorry :/ theres a ps3, ipod, sidekick, and other misc. new inventions of our time :]

skeeters got a lot going on, google, you tube, yahoo, itunes, aim, myspace... what a busy kid!

heres the 'IGENERATION' upclose, i guess thats what i titled it hahahah. and theres my bathroom floor.

heres some of the books on his walls, a few '_____ for dummies' books, harry potter :], and a few sparknotes! books. it wasnt until after that i realized sparknotes might only be online, and not in print, but hahah oh well.

one of the books at the bottom isnt colored in yet, i think ill make it the TIME magazine 'person of the year' issue, as a tribute :]

oh! and the papers coming out of the printer say 'my report on the civil war that i downloaded off of wikipedia', which is making fun of all the stupid kids in my history class that all plagiarize off of wikipedia... -_-

hot damn, sorry this is so long! once i get started talking its hard to stop. n_n. any comments would be cute, i just did this for fun, so yah.

i make collages religiously though :]

goood job!
hahahah yah i hate that, when you make something that already had embroidery or detail on the fabric and everyones like, 'wow! you did this too?!' and youre like, :/ no... that was already there... and the persons like, :l oh... and they act like it isnt totally great even though you didnt do the detail...

just like yours! its totally cute, regardless of whether you did the detail or target did. :]

4  CLOTHING / Clothing: Completed Projects: General / Re: skinnies! on: December 19, 2006 08:11:47 PM
omg! pants all by yourself!
that is quite the accomplishment :]
my only sewing with pants involves making them skinny, not making skinny jeans!
if that made any sense. hahahah.

anyway, good job :]

heyy guys. i know ive posted on here but im not sure ive posted about this. so if i have i truly apologize :]
anyway, i have kinky curly hair that i flat iron untill its stick straight, even though i would like to have wavy hair, because if i only partially straighten it it frizzes up. when i try to use my curling iron on it, it doesnt hold the wave for more than 30 seconds. which is not enough time to go out, hahah.

ive been looking into pincurling but im pretty sure itll be the same result as the curling iron.

any suggestions?
thanks guys <33

i agree with roxy. anything dark red would be amazing. i wouldnt recommend dabbing into the more grayer-black tinted dark colors. i dont think those would bring out your curls and skin as much.

im a paler girlie, also, and a while ago someone told me that red tinted colors are gorgeous for paler skin.

:]
