1  KNITTING / Knitting: Discussion and Questions / Backpack Pattern Like this?? on: May 08, 2006 06:14:39 PM
Does anyone have a pattern or know where I could find one that would make a bag like those shown here:

I LOVE LOVE LOVE the monkey, dog and lion.  My son will be 3 and starting preschool in the fall and I'd like to make him one like that.
2  KNITTING / Knitting: Completed Projects / My first Sweater!!!!! on: March 25, 2006 12:24:13 PM
I'm so excited! I've only been knitting abou 3-4 months and this was my first sweater.  I've done blankets, scarves and hats...but nothing I've had to join pieces on really.  It was easier than I thought!!

I made it for a girlfriend of mine for her baby shower.  It's about a 6-9 months size, since she's due next month. Here it is!  Grin
3  KNITTING / Knitting: Discussion and Questions / What was your first sweater? on: January 14, 2006 09:11:14 PM
I am still pretty much a beginner, but I'm ready to try my first sweater.  I would like to do a kid's/toddler sweater to waste less yarn incase I don't like the final product.
Can someone give me some ideas/links to great "firsts"?
4  PURSES, BAGS, WALLETS / Purses, Bags, Wallets: Completed Projects: General / Bag with my son's picture on: September 26, 2005 06:22:21 AM
My mom is a school teacher and wanted a new bag for her books.  She worships my son (her only grandchild) so I made this for her.  Her birthday is this coming weekend so she will be really surprised!

This is only my third bag ever.  I'm pretty impressed.  I based it on a simplicity pattern but modified it for what I liked and needed.  The outside is turquoise denim and then inside is a stripped canvas.

5  PURSES, BAGS, WALLETS / Purses, Bags, Wallets: Completed Projects: General / My very first bag! on: September 12, 2005 12:10:15 PM
Overall, I'm pretty happy with it.  I used some crappy thread Angry so it kept snapping and I would have to restart my stitches, so it isn't the greatest, but it's fairly good!
