1  Re: Post Photos of Your Tattoos! in Bath and Beauty: Completed Projects by Happy Hooker on: May 04, 2007 08:39:11 AM
First tattoo!!!

I had this done yesterday at Screaming Needles in Plymouth, NH (they were wonderful)

It's the Sicilian Tricarna (a remembrence to my grandfather who was from sicily)

I'm in love with it, I can't wait to get another, I have so many in mind

Fishie: I love your head tattoo (a tool lyric?)

Everyone: I love all the original ideas out there, they look great, keep posting!!

2  Re: Instant Swap Again in The Swap Gallery by Happy Hooker on: April 25, 2007 07:29:41 PM
my partner pibbgirl just got her stuff and asked that I post pictures of the things I made her, so here goes

so here's my first endeavor:
its a wooden rack with scrapbook-velum pics/sayings decoupaged on it, with a metal "cool cat" sign in the middle(hot glued)

the second (and my favorite) is a crosstitched cat saying
(i used the lettering out of subversive crosstitch)

and my final vastly simple, ribbon inspired craft:
candle holders (one was broken in shipping, I blame my bad packing skillz)

3  Rancid & Polka-dotted in Clothing: Completed Projects: Reconstructed by Happy Hooker on: February 22, 2007 02:15:14 PM
So hottopic was having an amazing sale last week and I got the rancid shirt for all of 2 dollas, the polka dotted shirt was an oldie from target. I thought they were both good by themsleves, but would be even greater combined, so voila

It's long enough now so I can wear leggings without worrying about my bum sticking out, or my thighs looking odd.

I would've taken more pics, but I'm feeling gross, perhaps another time Wink

I feel like its not quite done yet, any suggestions??

4  Spring Dress in February *pic heavy* in Clothing: Completed Projects: General by Happy Hooker on: February 19, 2007 12:20:38 PM
So last week we were snowed in with that Blizzard, and I decided rather than catch-up on homework, I'd make a dress! This is my second dress, the first one I used a pattern...and I'm not good with patterns so it didn't come out nearly as well as this one, which is sewn sans pattern with the help of my good friend Beth (acidalbatross). The fabric was old floral stuff I found at the bottom of my fabric pile.
hope you like  Grin

FRONT:

BACK:

With sweater (how I'll actually wear it out):

Fabric:

oh and the whole reason there is a red stripe down the back, is because it was originally as tight as a corset Undecided, luckily I stock pile fabric and had just the right kind to put down the middle Smiley

I'd love some feedback Cool

5  Cabled hat (first timer!!) in Knitting: Completed Projects by Happy Hooker on: January 26, 2007 07:28:32 AM
So I can't remember the name/pattern of this hat, because I borrowed the book from my friend, I also can't remember the yarn I used because it was in the odd skein bin on sale. I made this for my dad for Christmas.
What I can tell you is that it was amazing yarn and a great hat for anyone learning to cable, I had NO idea how great/easy cabling is, so if you haven't learned yet, do it!! Grin

big front cable

smaller side cable

questions, comments Smiley

6  No Sew Tool Scarf in Clothing: Completed Projects: General by Happy Hooker on: January 25, 2007 07:41:08 PM
I made this for my best guy friend for christmas, we're both avid Tool fans, so I felt this was appropriate. The tool logo was cut from felt then I fabric glued it to an already bought scarf, I freehanded a stencil, and I'm really happy with how it turned out. Let me know what you think! (I also made him a Tool pillow, which is posted under recon. housewears)

I made this pillow for my best guy friend for christmas. It was originally his shirt, but asked me to cut it up for a halloween costume, so I kept the logo and picture and sewed them together and luckily had a pillow form just lying around my room. Grin

I also made him a scarf which I'm posting under clothing, so check it out Cheesy

let me know what you think!!
